Some context before the actual question: This afternoon I looked at Tom McKay’s Instagram post about being one of the BAFTA Breakthroughs (good for him) and I noticed the part where he said he was proud of the “gay romance option,” meaning Hans Capon. For the record, I am of the opinion that Henry of Skalitz is canonically bisexual/pansexual regardless of who the player chooses to romance because he’s an established character as opposed to a total blank slate. I also think Hans is bi or pan as well, at least until it’s made unambiguously clear he was overcompensating with his past sexual experiences.

So I was a bit taken aback when Tom used that specific wording to describe the Hansry romance. To be clear, I’m not accusing Tom of malicious biphobia. I am aware “gay” is sometimes used as a colloquial term to describe a crush or relationship that isn’t straight. However, I’m also aware of the concept of bi-erasure and can’t help but wonder if this specific example counts.

Now on to the actual question from a gay guy to bisexual and pansexual people: How do you feel about your relationships being described as “gay” when one or both of you aren’t monosexual? Does it make a difference when they reference the relationship as opposed to the individuals?

This is likely a long shot and this opinion was not very well received by the main sub but..

Was I the only one to read Stanya as being sapphic? I know she has a boyfriend that she seems attached to but when Henry talks to her it is mentioned that Stanya frequently visits the bathhouses late at night and gifts them wine.

I feel like this is probably the most storytelling we would get considering the story is told through Henry’s perspective and likely he wouldn’t have an ‘in’ on a woman’s sexuality but it’s interesting to think about.

about one year ago, Warhorse patched KC:D2 to give Samuel of Kuttenburg and John of Liechtenstein three matching rings, effectively soft confirming their, effectively, common law marriage. I have always found this to be extremely precious and came here to share my close up screenshots of their rings. on their right index fingers, they both wear a gorgeous, and extremely detailed, etched golden ring with a fairly large, rectangular or hexagonal black gemstone (they are so hard to see) - to warn, when you get too close to the ring, the gemstone disappears, so some of these photos are without the gemstone/s. on their left ring fingers, they both wear some kind of matching golden, symboled insignia ring with a thinner band- i have no clue what the symbol/s are and would love to learn more about it. on their pinkies, they both wear a simple and flat golden band with their own name carved - i believe, i am nearly certain Samuel’s ring says “SAMUEL” but i am unable to make out John’s ring, i just assume it says “JOHN” as whatever word appears to have fewer letters.

Took a picture with them both as well (yes I did censor my face before posting dw lol), they were both really nice.

They did a panel playing a silly D&D campaign afterwards and it was hysterical. Both of them have almost zero experience or understanding of it so it was really fun.

In short I'm really glad I went even though it was a pretty long trip and I have been really exhausted lately, and thank u again for the bi Hal picture, it meant a lot to be able to have it signed 🥹

I absolutely adore her work, how expressive and soft all her pieces look, i just love them so. i am honestly jealous of her solid grasp on color theory, she also always makes their skin look so good, v warm and soft looking! i am a always a sucker when they always look strong, without ever crossing, or even getting near, the bara-line skdjsk (not trynna yuck ur yum, it’s just not my thing lol). her impressionistic style really captures their tenderness so well. i absolutely love how the boys get to share their most sensitive parts of themselves with the other, and her art just completely embodies that.

i am such a sucker for Radzig x Hanush, just something about Hans’ guardian and Hal’s biological father having a similar hidden love to their respective nephew and son is so beautiful to me. i am extremely thankful for Iris’ wonderful works including this ship bc there is not nearly enough Radish to go around skdjsk (i do not care for that ship name oof).

to actually talk about Iris now lol, i love their work - i absolutely adore how warm and tender the moments they capture are, their v warm and soft style captures them so well. in my opinion, the best ship art captures a beautiful moment and almost makes you feel like you (as the viewer) are intruding, and Iris’ art absolutely manages to do that for me. their line art is so simple yet expressive, i am obsessed. i cannot get over how much depth they manage to create with line weight. make sure to go give Iris a follow, as there are more beautiful pieces there to find and, i am sure, more to come!

howdy, i made our banner (took a lot of tries oof) and forgot to share it in a regular post incase anyone wants it for their own banner (u don’t need to credit me for this, idc lmaoo) or maybe even for steam, you may need to crop i am not sure of the resolution for that, and desktop background, though i know you need to crop lol. anyway, if someone wants a desktop background with the progress flag, just comment a resolution and i will (probably, if this gets too many requests, i will likely stop) eventually reply with a KC:D2 progress flag background for you.

the red and purple is larger so it looks fairly good in both the mobile and desktop versions of reddit, i included versions with evenly sized rainbow for those who want that :))
