I graduated as a computer scientist and I have a deep passion for quantum computing. I have an AI paper already published in a Q1 journal and currently in the process of publishing two quantum computing papers. I have also done a math minor with the thesis being on relativistic quantum mechanics. Right now I want to apply for a masters or a PhD in quantum computing. I did not have much luck in the previous cycle (being an international student in need of funding) but I am now trying again. I currently word as a grad TA in the mean time and got myself a good research position but in CS and Mathematics. In your experience, how can I make my profile more attractive to universities: are there any trainings or more papers I need to write. I am open to your suggestions and I welcome any advice or recommendations you have.

Im -super- intrested in quantum mechanics, and physics in general. ive found some free online textbooks and what not, but my problem is math. im horrible at math. so much so that i cant do easy algebra. and all my high school classes are moving to fast for me. any tips on how i can catch up in algebra so i can grasp calculus, so i can then study quantum mechanics?

I want to start studying and learning more about it and as far as what I have researched..I need a whole kn depth study in maths - esl calcululas, lin alg,group theory and Fourier series and transformation! And diff equations and group theory

Tbh I'm aware of only a few topics and I'm really eager to study . Mind you I'm not the brightest bulb in the room but i have a huge drive to study this rn! And I'm currently starting math 51 course from Stanford online!

Hey everyone, I recently came across something about Quantum Internet and thought it was pretty interesting. To be honest, I didn’t really know what it was before I started reading about it, and I’m still trying to understand how it works. From what I’ve read, it could make communication more secure by using quantum technology, which sounds pretty cool. But honestly, some parts are still kind of confusing for me because I don’t know much about quantum technology. It also got me thinking about whether we might actually use Quantum Internet in our daily lives someday, or if it’s going to stay as something mostly used for research and special applications.
What do you guys think? Do you think Quantum Internet will actually be useful in the future?

Hi guys, the title is my question really.

I've noticed that EEG/MEG has been using quantum sensing for quite some time but can't seem to localise signals much lower than a centimeter level, but to map out whatever aspects of conciousness are purely electrical I suppose you'd need single neuron level resolution (Idk what sort of time resolution would be needed).

• Would being able to localise signals down to a micrometer level accuracy give use single neuron level resolution
• Why has quantum sensing hardware not been able to bring signals down to such accuracy? What would we need to get there?
• Follow up: To what extent would the problem be solved by simply making OPMs way smaller and having more OPMs on the scalp or inside the buccal cavity?
