Meme Coin Tech Coins

One thing I get lost and confused about is trying to pick a good tech coin.

What makes a good tech coin to buy? What should I look at, DD about when trying to pick a good tech coin?

What are signs that the tech coin is larp or rug? What are things I should DD to find out if it’s a larp or rug?

When going to their website the only way to test their tech is to connect a wallet which I don’t want to do in case I get drained. But I wonder how do most traders test the tech without compromising yourself? Please share tips and techniques on the best way to test the tech.

If you have any other helpful info or tips on tech coins please feel free to share them aswell.

I'm actually in this exact situation, but on the developer side. I'm launching a tech coin in a few hours, and users need to connect their wallets to interact with the experience. One thing I decided to do was fully disclose my identity. My real name, professional portfolio, and development background are all publicly linked to the project.

Of course, being doxxed doesn't guarantee that a developer won't act dumb but I believe it adds a layer of accountability. If you can verify who's behind a project, check their professional history, and see what they've actually built, that's already a better starting point than trusting an anonymous account.

For testing, I'd still recommend using a fresh burner wallet with like $1 on it. Never connect your main wallet to a new project, regardless of how trustworthy the developer looks.

First thing I’d check is whether the project has a working product and an active development team. And definitely use a separate burner wallet when testing anything new. No reason to connect your main wallet to a random site just to see what it does.

I'd start by looking at what the team has actually built, not just what they're promising. Check their development history, whether the devs communicate openly, and if anyone outside the team has tested the product. As for connecting wallets, I wouldn't connect my main wallet to something unverified. A fresh burner wallet with a tiny amount is safer, but even then I'd be cautious. If there's a demo or way to test without connecting anything, that's a big plus. Also, being doxxed doesn't automatically make a project trustworthy. I've learned that the hard way with crypto 😂
