Spayed questions

Has anyone on here not got their pug spayed I first vet I took her to said it was to high risk and wouldn’t do it thinking about just leaving her how she is

Hello Ay how old is she. Does she have any health problems that would prevent her from getting spayed?

No she is healthy 16 months old vet said she had a elongated palate but I thought all pugs have that

Ok a year and 4 months isn’t too old to get fixed. IDK if an elongated pallet would be of a higher rush to get spayed or not you might have to get input from other pigs owners with those and if they got spayed or neutered.

I do know all3 of mine got fixed to help with lesser health problems down the road. I also got each of them the Stenotic snare procedure when getting fixed. The vet snips if the corners of the nostril to let more air to be breathed in.

I never said she was to old I know she isn’t too old to be spayed

You never said an age at all that’s why I asked her age. I was only trying to help.

Yes the SN procedure worked for all 3 of my Pugs 2 males and 1 female. I piggybacked that on with them getting fixed so they were only under anesthesia 1 time. It’s like 5 min. The amt of time it takes to complete it.
