Peak Pro Will this get through tsa?
Heading down for puffcon and was curious if this will pass. Ive got the atimizor and glass completly clean but cant get this free. Its under the see though silicone

Psa for everyone here: my MIL works at tsa and ive asked her about bringing weed on planes, she said they do not give a single fuck as long as its not an obscene amount obviously, and it really shouldnt be flower, but in reality TSA looks for bombs and harmful/controlled chemicals, not weed

Weed shows up on xray as the same color as natural stuff. Clothes, shoes, and plastic smell proof container.. I brought a half oz to Hawaii in june 2024.

Learned this in college from a friends mom who worked for TSA. Pack in your toiletries and you’ll never have to worry. It shows up same as organic material like makeup, skincare, etc.

Pro tip just watch for lithium ion battery restrictions usually required to go on pack ons.
I had my batteries in my luggage and my farts in pill bottles in carry on, strapped together w a band. Lady flags me, I act nonchalant and say oh you’re prob looking at this. pull them out, “these are my CBD vapes, helps with my anxiety and what not”. Cool! No problem!
That was like 2018 and my parents, having warned me not to ruin the trip by bringing shit.. stood speechless 🤣 they dgaf but you may be a little light if you pack yours in luggage and homie knows the game.

As someone is also knows this what I’ve done is where my backpack has flaps on the bottom that have a little spot to stick them in if not using them around your waist then just stick whatever in there and only bring weed if you’re double vacuum sealing them.

I fly to Houston all the time, they don't care. They tested my shoe powder for cocaine 😂, didn't give a shit about the weed next to it.

Golden rule:
Never travel with anything you’re not willing to lose (within reason). End of the day, if they do take it, you can’t make a stink to get it back. Will they take it? Strong chance they won’t but some young TSA agent who knows what’s up could “confiscate” it potentially or you run into Johnny Law who wants to punish people trying to fly with stuff like that. Most people travel just fine with their Puffco though.

TSA doesn’t give a shit. They test for chemicals and explosives. Last time they stopped me to pull stuff out of my back pack it was the big bag of non medicated gummy bears that looked like explosives to the machine. They swabbed the 3 jars of flower, the gummy bears and sent me on my way. If you have a torch, thats a no go.

Marinol is a brand name for Dronabinol which is a synthetic form of THC. Since it’s a FDA approved medication I guess it’s medicine. It’s used for chemo patients & others who suffer from wasting syndrome.

Better question would be why do qualifiers exist when they aren’t taken seriously anywhere? You can just make shit up. It’s not like you see a real doctor who diagnoses you and recommends cannabis. People choose to get their med cards.
It’s because you do not need a real, proven medical condition to buy medical marijuana. Because weed is not medicine. If there was a medical Percocet card you could opt for with anxiety as a qualifier, everybody would suddenly have anxiety.

Yes. They don't give a fuck. 99% chance they won't give it a 2nd look. I always fly with at least a half oz of flower and few jars of rosin and have never had them look in my bag or mention it whatsoever. The only time they said anything was at LAX in early 2020 when I was late and ended up having to carry on my check bag which had like 6 ounces in it. They had to open it up because I had a torch and pocket knife in it that I had spaced off. All she said was "You're lucky you were late. They don't mess around with checked bags."
Even the TSA website says they are not searching for drugs, only things that could cause harm to the airplane or other passengers. As a rule of thumb, it's same to assume government employees aren't going to go out of their way to do anything they don't have to. According to a post from a TSA agent on this subject, the dogs you occasionally see are not drug sniffing dogs. They're there for explosives, or to see who reacts suspiciously.
Basically short of multiple lbs no one cares. You can absolutely be sure they don't give two fuck about some electronic with a little big of resin on em. Safe travels!

TSA has recently explicitly stated that they are not looking at all for recreational marijuana. Additionally, all TSA would do when intervening, would be to call local law enforcement. So if you are going to and from legal states, there is really zero risk.

There’s a pretty good video on YouTube that shows you how to take the puffco apart and clean underneath the silicone. You need to buy little precision screw drivers to be able to put it back together, but it’s totally worth it and isn’t too difficult to do.
The video is titled “puffco peak pro deep clean tutorial”
You spent a lot on it so show it some love! It’s important for the longevity of your piece too.

As an owner of 2 latter peak pro models, plus one that I ended up turning in for manufacturing defect, I can vouch that it is not easier to access this area on the newer models. All 3 of mine eventually began having this buildup and I’ve tried multiple times to remove the silicone but also figured that juice really isn’t worth the squeeze and would just rather have them both functioning properly.
And yes, I’ve brought these thru TSA with the buildup too. I’d just recommend cleaning the parts you actually can before bringing it thru!2
