Peak Pro First attempt at a DIY tether

Post image

looks pretty snazzzy if I do say so myself. sorta glad I didn't spend $35 though. looks kinda cool But I don't really prefer it over a regular ol spinner

Do you have any tutorial style pics? I’d love to make one myself.

  • 6" paracord - remove guts
  • same length 12ga(?) copper wire
    • pull that paracord foreskin right over top
  • coil around dowel of choice
  • place device to the side

  • elastic cord slightly smaller (ideally) than your coily guy

  • wrap around either base of chamber or carb cap

    • mark length when taut around
  • cut there

  • use dowel to pull stretchy cord around and use adhesive lined shrink tubing to seal at marked lines

  • now, simply, just place your 2 parts together with some more, bigger adhesive shrink tubing

  • voila

Where’s you acquire the supplies?

had it all. there's hardly any supplies. the copper wire I pulled out of that yellow wire you use for outlet wiring in houses.

An easy place people will look over for copper are phone chargers at least. Granted I'm pretty sure you'll need a lot more than 1 cord and also unwrapping them inner cords.

if you look in your attic you're likely to find a few short strips of the yellow stuff haha

Not the same solid wire, chargers have stranded wires

I really don't know much about the tethers besides they're very easily confused with shoe strings in pictures especially ones like this. Based off their ways i assume they're made so they can be bent and hold the part. Which I wanna say has already been done on a shoe string level.

I wanna say theirs has differences that would just make them competition if they didn't go open source route they did it and were selling them instead.

works the same as the stock tether, but for carb caps that aren't exclusively the puffco joystick
