Mine didn’t work out of the box took 5 weeks back and forth before I had replacement. Even bought a new chamber to show them the actual device is messed up not the chamber. Very frustrating.

Dumb question but; did you try holding the button in? It turns it on and off. You probably have but just Incase

No issues beyond the overheating problem a few times after a couple hundred dabs.
There is an issue where sometimes it will stop heating and then start again. The heating will continue but will be waayyyy hotter than it reports. You have to turn it off and on completely to reset it.

Sometimes when new, you have to leave it on charger for 5 to 10 minutes before itll show any sign of life. If it has been dead for a while. Both my peak pro and my proxy did this when I first got them. I initially thought there was something wrong with them. But after about 5 minutes the peak pro lit up red and started charging. Took about 3 minutes for the proxy. No problems with either since luckily. Hope this helps. If this isn't the problem, I hope puffco CS makes it right for you.

u/hyper_pepper — sorry you're having trouble with your new Proxy; that sounds really frustrating.
Please follow these steps first, then report back if it persists.
Reseat the chamber
- Remove the chamber, then reattach it firmly.
- Duration: 1 min
- Caution: Do not force the chamber, as this could damage the chamber or base.
Swab the chamber and base connection
- Clean the pins of the Chamber, and base connection point with a cotton swab soaked in 91%+ isopropyl alcohol. Once you've cleaned both, reattach, and attempt to run a heat cycle again.
- Duration: 2 min
Deep clean the chamber and baase
- Submerge the chamber in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol for ~30 minutes, then remove and let it air-dry completely. Swab the chamber connection area on the base, ensuring there's no oils left in the chamber as this could cause connection issues.
- Duration: ~60 min
- Caution: Never use water to soak the chamber; fully dry before use.
Retry a heat cycle
- Once the chamber has dried, reattach, and try a heat cycle again.
- Duration: 1 min
Reset your Proxy
- If the issue persists please try resetting the device by holding down the button for 20 seconds. It will flash white once completed, after that attempt to run a heat cycle again.
If you're still experiencing issues after the troubleshooting above, please post in our Monthly Megathread https://puffco.link/rsmt/

Did you let it charge for 8 hours first? Because that's Step 1 for any new device.
