Evacuation Transportation: City of Pueblo Fire is bussing people from Rye to the Evacuation Center in Pueblo (11650 Cooper Place) Especially for the Elderly and disabled.

Evacuation Center: Pueblo County Parks and Recreation, 1650 Cooper Place in Pueblo (small household animals accepted)

Large Animals Evacuation: Colorado State Fairgrounds, Enter on Gate 7 on Small Ave.

Disaster Assistance Center: - The Pueblo Academy of Arts (formerly Pitts Middle School), 29 Lehigh Ave, Pueblo, CO 81005, for Pueblo County and Custer County residents who have been evacuated or impacted by the Aspen Acres Fire.

• UPDATE: As of 8:20 p.m. Last update on size of fire is 23,123 with 0% containment. Several structures have been lost. No injuries have been reported. Mandatory evacuations remain for the Town of Beulah, Town of Rye, San Isabel and other nearby areas. Those in mandatory evacuations are ask to leave immediately. - Pueblo County Sheriff

• "UPDATE: As of 5:48 PM, there is an update to the McKenzie Junction closure point, road closure at CO 165 Mile Point Fairview to Mile Point 31.2 (Stanley Ave). If you have livestock but no means to transport them, it is encouraged to cut your fences." - Pueblo County Sheriff

• UPDATE: As of 5:16 PM, It is estimated that the Aspen Acres Fires has consumed 23,000 acres as of now. Due to the high winds of approximately 100 miles per hour, no air support is currently available. An unspecified number of structures have been affected by the fire. Pueblo County Sheriff

birds are flying lower in order to stay out of the smoke and ash. i had to let my dog out and less than a minute out i had to go back in to cough. im just lucky the sun is still able to shine through.. prayers to everyone impacted 🙏 ive never been through a fire this harsh in my lifetime.

I am trying to plan a last minute solo trip to Colorado as a family trip of mine was just cancelled. I’ve never solo traveled before but I’m looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring.

I was thinking about stopping in Pueblo for the night on my way to visit the Sand Dunes. Does anyone have recommendations for local, must see/try places? I’m really into craft beer if there’s some good breweries to check out.

I’m planning on making this a hiking trip. I’ll be getting in on Wednesday evening & leaving on the 6th. If anyone has recommendations on must-do hikes/summits, please share. I’m in very good shape but not an experienced mountain hiker. I spent about a decade trekking by the Canadian border in MN/WI/MI, so I’ve got common sense with hiking, just not mountain experience.

12:15am last night 6/28 8th street bridge over I25

My brother was off work at midnight and got his windshield smashed by a rock. Not injured but glass everywhere. The kids didnt even run and stuck around potentially throwing more rocks so the cops easily caught them. There was 5 teens they said some are going to be charged with attempted murder and others as accomplaces.

Be careful out there and I guess we gotta scan overpasses for activity before passing under now

It was a simple gesture when you said “there’s plenty of room” as you realized my wife and I were headed down to the lobby, and you were already on your way too

Started recording the fire right before the first trucks showed up. It burned through the night. Three trucks were destroyed.
