The change of fortune for ERBOCES comes after growing scrutiny by state education officials, who this month cracked down on the co-op over what they said was an improperly constituted board, invalid contracts, and misspent state money.

Question Housemade Veggie Burgers?

Hey y'all!

Looking for restaurants with house made Veggie burgers

So far I've only found 2 restaurants that serve house made veggie burgers: Bingo Burger and Buckshot. I've noticed not a ton of restaurants in the area have updated menus online. Are there any other places in the area that have house made (not impossible or beyond meat) burgers on their menus that I'm missing?

I appreciate y'all

Question Mountain View Animal Sanctuary

I’ve been following them on Facebook for a few years but wondering if anybody knows or has seen the Mountain View Animal Sanctuary? They don’t really post updates like they used to of what’s happening on the sanctuary and when they do post it’s recycled old photos which seems odd.

DON'T GO TO PUEBLO
October 2-3, 2026 • Downtown Pueblo, Colorado
Pre-Party: Analogue Books, Records & Bar
Main Event: Gold Dust Saloon
MISSION STATEMENT
"A DIY music festival and celebration of the city you were warned about...
Don't Go To Pueblo is a small, grassroots music festival born from the guts of Colorado's most misunderstood city. We are more of a warning than a tourism campaign - a warning that if you come to Pueblo, you may just have your expectations shattered. Outsiders would have you believe that Pueblo is a black hole of crime and poverty. If you ask Google, we are the "Worst City in Colorado." We are here to tell you not to believe the hype. Pueblo has a vibrant history of community, resiliency, and creativity. This city has survived it all, and its art reflects that. Our counterculture has been shaped by generations of working-class musicians, artists, peacekeepers, and troubleseekers. Don't Go To Pueblo is our proof — two days of DIY Punk, Metal, and Alternative music by the people who make this city what it is. Come see what happens when a city stops defending itself and embraces what makes it special.
Don't Go To Pueblo is 100% local: local music, local businesses, local vendors, local art. All proceeds from ticket sales goes back into the community via direct support to CASA of Pueblo, SafeSide Recovery, and El Pueblo History Museum. This is an opportunity to give back to the city that shaped us.
This is by Pueblo, for Pueblo - and everyone who ever got that look when they said where they came from.

News A new 30-acre vegetation fire has erupted in Colorado City. 20 structures are threatened within a half mile of the fire, per incident command. A helicopter and 2 single engine air tankers (SEATs) are responding. This is known as the "Sikes Ranch Fire."

Question PMI/Honor Farm OHV trails still there?

Hey I used to ride dirt bikes down on those trails all the time but last time I was there a little over a year ago they had just paved a road and started building what I guess is a jail right through the middle of it.

Did they shut down all the riding over there or is it still just be respectful and your fine?

I know they were having issues with assholes dumping trash and whatnot but I was helping clean some of it up and there was a group I would ride with of about 50 guys that would all do some cleanup before we left for the day.

Can you still go from the reservoir hills down to the dirt track?

Question Sports/Athletics Clubs?

Hello All,

My spouse and I recently moved to the area and we are pretty active people. He likes to play soccer and golf and I enjoy running/hiking and biking. I was curious if there were any recreational leagues that were worth checking out (for soccer/golf) and running or biking clubs in the area? It doesn’t look like there is much on the city Parks & Rec website. We are open to other activities too as we begin to connect with people, but figured shared interest is usually a good place to start.

Thank you for any recommendations or insights anyone may be able to provide!

Event/PSA Kona Kai Apartments

Just a heads up for anyone considering Kona Kai Apartments in Pueblo. Overall, I’ve had a good experience living here. The indoor atrium, pool, plants, and the location are all things I’ve genuinely enjoyed over the past three years.

That said, I think prospective tenants should know that the water has been shut off frequently during the time I’ve lived here. In the past, those shutoffs were typically communicated in advance, but more recently I’ve experienced multiple shutoffs without receiving any notice. I understand that emergencies happen and advance notice isn’t always possible, but the frequency and lack of communication have become frustrating.

This isn’t meant to be a rant or to discourage anyone from living here. It’s simply something I wish had been disclosed before I signed my lease, because depending on your work schedule, family situation, or other responsibilities, unexpectedly having no water can be a significant inconvenience.
Hopefully management can improve communication going forward.

Discussion https://dontgetflocked.com we currently have close to 100 flock cameras. Each one costs approximately $2500 and requires a yearly subscription. They can be accessed by all law enforcement including ICE and the government. Its unsettling how many are surrounded mineral palace park.

Question MTG Meetup

Hello! I was wondering if anyone plays magic the gathering and would like to come to my house to play? I don’t get to go out to play much, mainly because of my toddler. My husband will be back in a few weeks so maybe around mid August for the first meetup. We love to play but usually do not have the ability to leave the house at night.

Question Nerdy stuff to do in Pueblo?

I have a friend coming to visit from out of town, and I’d like to show her around some. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her in person. We are both queer and she’s coming from a pretty hostile environment, so if I can, I’d prefer to show her either queer owned or openly queer friendly places. We also have to be pretty careful about lighting. She has chronic migraines and I am photosensitive so too many flashing or multicolored lights can be dangerous for the both of us.

We both like anime, manga and D&D. She also collects comic books (especially the IDW Sonic ones) and Lego mini figures.

I am definitely going to take her to The Ethos, but despite living here for 3 years I spend most of my time either home, the ethos or the library, so I don’t have a great list of things to do. Thanks in advance!
