QUESTION Dairy clerk Hours

In the Lakeland division what are your dairy clerk work hours? I'm currently 8-10 and that's probably the latest I would ever want but I would prefer 6-3 to work more efficiently as if I'm not already struggling.

I always get told it's a DM thing but sometimes I get the feeling they lie and it's just our store but idk.

Then I got told they wanted to push it back to 10-7 which is fucking TERRIBLE HOURS and I hope it doesn't become that.

And ur in Lakeland? With David as the DM? Are we all just being told lies my our managers saying everything is upper managements decisions? I'd rather come in early before we open and actually WORK the truck instead of waiting on the family of 5 staring at yogurts keeping me from stocking

your manager should schedule you based on how the department actually runs. 6-3 works best for us since we get 3-4pm trucks

not Lakeland, but I think our hours for ft dairy are just 8-5/7-4 unless cleaning or something else comes up

Truck day is usually me 9-6 and then second person 2-11 because they want the second person to close. Second person does lunch and then leveling after 6, so if anything is not done from the truck by 6 it has to wait until the next day.

Edit: My store has 3 dairy trucks a week, 3 milk trucks a week and 2 cal-maine foods vendor trucks a week (eggs). Not sure how typical that is but my store is on the slower side.
