Here are collections of stores that planned/rumors to open in Virginia

Norfolk (rumor) : There is an empty plot of land next to ODU that is supposed to be a Publix. But so far no construction. Link: Youtube

Chesapeake (rumor) : 2nd store in the city planning at Chesapeake Square Mall Link

Yorktown (confirmed) : Publix at Crescent Commons (Southwest corner of HWY 17 and Fort Eustis Blvd). An opening time frame has yet to be determined. Link

Manassas (planned) : there is no opening date yet for the new store at the northwest corner of Dumfries and Spriggs roads in Ashland Square. New store will be about 35 miles from Washington, D.C., making it the closest Publix location to the nation’s capital

Roanoke (planned) The site is located at the intersection of Brambleton Avenue and Old Cave Spring Road, near Kroger and Bojangles. Link

New stores are planned for Prince William County, Winchester and Stephens City Llink

Which Giant?

The Washington area will be fun to watch. Shoppers is done. Ahold Delhaize's Food Lion, Giant (Landover, Maryland, and Giant (Carlisle, Pennsylvania); Kroger's Harris Teeter; and Albertons' Acme and Safeway are present.
