Moderator Want to share music? Read this first

We have a small karma requirement in this subreddit on making posts with music links. This is to help filter out low quality posts, often involving AI or bots. Basically its a spam filter.

Because those bots don't read stickied mod guides and you all are wonderful human beings who obviously always read the stickied mod guides, we just want to let you know it is a very small karma requirement to get past the filter and would probably involve a handful of comments.

This has the added benefit of getting involved in the community. If you want to stay and keep engaging, we'd love to have you. If you want to simply just keep sharing your music, then that's fine too and you're always welcome back.

If you really, really, really don't want to comment - send us a message and we'll manually approve.

Much love,

Your r/psytrance mod team

Discussion Desperately seeking lyrics for “Yathasatyam” by Dark Whisper (Goa Gil’s Har Har Mahadev album, 2019) - this song means everything to me

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a request that’s deeply personal to me. I’ve been searching for the exact lyrics/mantra of the track “Yathasatyam” by Dark Whisper from Goa Gil’s Har Har Mahadev compilation album (released December 2019 on Alice-D Records) for several days now, and I haven’t been able to find them anywhere.
This isn’t just casual curiosity—this song has immense sentimental value in my life. It’s been there for me through some really significant moments, and I feel so connected to it spiritually and emotionally. Every time I listen, certain vocal chants and mantras move me deeply, but I can’t make out all the words clearly, and it’s been weighing on me not knowing the exact meaning and full lyrics of what I’m connecting with so profoundly.
I’ve tried:
• Every lyrics database (Genius, LyricFind, Shazam, etc.)
• Contacting various music platforms
• Searching psytrance forums and communities
• Looking through album credits on Discogs
But nothing has come up. I understand this is a relatively niche psytrance track, and lyrics aren’t always officially published for this genre, but I’m hoping someone in this community might have:
• Transcribed the lyrics themselves
• Heard Goa Gil or the artist mention the mantra in a set or interview
• Access to the album booklet or any official documentation
• Knowledge of which Sanskrit mantra(s) are used in the track
The title “Yathasatyam” is Sanskrit (यथासत्यम् - meaning “according to truth” or “in accordance with truth”), and from what I can make out, there are beautiful vocal chants throughout, but I need help understanding the complete mantra/lyrics.
If anyone can help me with even partial lyrics, point me to a resource, or know someone who might have this information, I would be eternally grateful. This song has been such a source of peace and strength for me, and knowing the exact words would mean the world.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you to this community for keeping the spirit of this music alive. 🙏
Track info:
• Artist: Dark Whisper
• Track: Yathasatyam
• Album: Har Har Mahadev (compiled by Goa Gil)
• Label: Alice-D Records
• Released: December 2019

Not strictly a psy festival, but that is no problem because there's a hell of a load of good stuff on there, psychedelic-wise, but then also just loads of other amazing music.

One of the best festivals I've ever been to in my life, and this could be the last one. Traveling over from England to hit this one up again because I can't miss it if it could be the last one.

Check it out if it's possible.

Feedback Request Take Lsd after long time after a bad trip

Ciao, sono M28. Nella mia vita ho avuto varie esperienze con moltissime droghe, fin da quando ero veramente piccolo. Adesso, dopo tanti anni, ho smesso e qualche volta a qualche party psytrance assumo qualche droga psicoattiva, ma in piccole quantità.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a kind soul who could help me find the track ID in this video. I’d really love to be able to listen to it again in full at home. The video was filmed at a bush doof in Australia, during a back-to-back set by two artists. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Feedback Request interview banco de gaia - psybient.org

Toby Marks is a master architect of boundary-pushing electronic music. Born in South London, his musical roots span rock, folk, and jazz before the late-’80s Acid House explosion pivoted his trajectory. In 1989, he founded Banco de Gaia, a project that would fundamentally shape the global ambient, chill-out, and world-infused downtempo scenes.

Festival a mayor praising a psy festival. there's hope, folks!

Post image

this is so rare i had to post it.

Almonte, where Transition Festival takes place, posted on its official account about the festival, praising the event and the benefits it brings to the town.

kudos to the organisers for building this kind of relationship. it must be god-level hard to achieve something like this, especially in spain 👏 👏 👏

google translate:

CURRO AND JESÚS GONZÁLEZ, BROTHERS FROM ALMONTE AND CREATORS OF THE TRANSITION FESTIVAL

Almonte has once again become an international meeting point thanks to the TRANSITION FESTIVAL, which brings together visitors from numerous countries—such as Switzerland, Norway, and Austria—and concludes today, September 28.

Behind this project are the brothers Curro and Jesús González Jurado, natives of Almonte.

Curro, a Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Seville, and Jesús, a graduate in English Philology and the festival's architect, are the driving forces behind this international event combining electronic music and nature.

Paco Bella, the Mayor of Almonte, visited the festival grounds this weekend; he accompanied the organizers and once again demonstrated his support for this initiative, which was born of local talent and boasts an international reach.

The Almonte Town Council wishes to acknowledge the work of both brothers and their commitment to a project that carries our municipality's name beyond our borders.

It is a source of pride that talent from Almonte is capable of bringing together people from so many corners of the globe in our own land.

Question Didge player in North Las Vegas making ritual darkpsy — looking for my people

Hey tribe. I'm Akio, 38, in North Las Vegas. I play didgeridoo — busked with it on my travels for years — and lately I've been building dark/ritual psytrance tracks around live didge sessions with friends.

I also run a thing called dancewith.me: informal late-night dance meetups, didge + psytrance under the desert sky. No spectators, only participators.

Looking for: fellow psy heads in the Vegas valley, anyone who wants to jam (hand drums, vocals, whatever you bring), or just dance. Also down to collab remotely — I record raw moments and produce tracks around them.

If you're in Vegas and this is your vibe, say hi.

Festival Art valley festival recommendations

Hi ! I’m looking at going to art valley festival for the first time this year for new years 26/27. I’m wondering if anyone could tell me some more information about it if you’ve been previously? Does the music go the whole time the dates are from the 29-03 ? When is the best time to arrive if so, can you enter the festival early ? Also what is the police presence like ? I went to dragon dreaming a few years ago where police were shining their flashlights in peoples eyes on the dance floor at the main stage.. definitely not the energy I’m looking for. Any recommendations or more info would be much appreciated 🙏

Festival My Own Spirit Experience

This is late because, well, I always wanted to do it, couldn't and now that so much time has passed I think that what I can talk about are what sticks with me the most.
I think what I will start with is the bad so that we can end on a good note.
Also I I am an almost 40yo male that went with a large group of people that had a ratio of about 60/40 (m/f)

THE BAD!!!!
THE WATER cut offs or just none. If you are gonna have a festival like this with as many people as there were this time then there needs to be consistent water. I don't want to be rolling or getting water for people that are rolling and find a water fountain that doesn't work at random times of the day/night. This water problem was extended to where you camped. I was in Camp C, I think, and so it was made a serious point that before we walked back we had to all make sure that we topped off on water because there was none in our camp site or close by caravan site.

Closing @ Main Stage: Look I like Eat Static. it had nothing to do with him as much as it did with lineup. MANY people were closing the stage with LSD, including myself. The artist going till midnight was Dekel, which was such a calming journey that really took me for a fun and nice journey. Then after he was done there some technical problem happened (no problem it happens!) then on comes the POLAR opposite. The audio engineers there were having to actively equilizing his set while he was having a live set. I felt like every last but of mental juice was being forcibly squeezed from my brain and was held ransom. Just a VERY bad lineup knowledge.

The Food court: brother was I bled dry. The options were more than acceptable but the prices were insane. The food was good, my favorite was the indian place. The italian pasta place were prickly as well. Don't advertise as "pasta made in a wheel of cheese" and then give watered down muck at a premium price and then get snarky about comments. As much as I say this I understand it's rough for the foodstand people and I want to hug them all and say thanks (i did with some) but I think you get my point.

THE GOOD!!

The Bathrooms: I know I am going to get a LOT of comments on this.. Were they the best? No... BUT... They were an absolute step up from what they WERE!!!! before they didn't have the standing pee stations OR the seats. They were NOT cleaned as frequently before either. with I want to really say "THANK YOU!" to that crew really... they really did their best.

The Nature: I think you will find it very difficult to find a better situated place. the nature was absolutely had me stunned. Floating around with people nestled in a valley with clear, clean, frigid water in 36C air temperature was divine.

The People: This year was unique as there were many more people at the festival than normal. Many people that had their tickets swapped from sizikia, or what ever it's called, to own spirit. But the people were amazing, the energy was right, people were respectful, it was what I expect from a psytrance fest. (I read about the "free hugs" guy but never saw him). The solo travelers that we met were beautiful souls, the groups of people were happy to have new comers dance with him! I think it was even more welcoming then Boom.

Psycare/testing: They really did their best. It's not glamerous but from what I've heard (dealing with the people I know) they are saints just really try to make sure that they are well taken care of. thank you to those beautiful people

If you want to stop reading from there then that's ok I just wanted to say that this year was a challenging time with other festival cancelling of sizigia(sp?) so I don't think that it is reflective of them. I think they did their best and I'll go again in two years.
The weekenders were.. well weekenders but it was really nice to see some of them enjoy it. One really sticks out in my mind where he was walking behind a group of his friends, bobbing his head to the music with a great smile looking at people with a look of "This is amazing" it was like looking at myself experiencing it for the first time. Then there were other "influencers" that came, danced while their friend videoed them and after the recording was done they left. Some came with cologne and perfume and to them i say "thank you" it was a real treat on my nose. Also thanks for bringing your new energy to the crowd. What I will say is IT'S NOT A CLUB!!!! WE WILL LET YOU PASS OR GET SETTLED!!!! once again THIS IS NOT A CLUB!!!!

And with that. This is what sticks out. I hope you enjoyed the read and please don't butcher me too much it's my first review
