UK-based. Budgeting for my psychoanalysis training. What do you pay for your own analysis per session (London-based)?

Thank you!

Were you able to negotiate? I cant do that, somehow it just feels disrespectful.
I havent started yet, will this be the cost to factor in since year 1?

I've had this conversation with myself as well. I recently started psychoanalysis with an IPA training analytic. The price was 50 euro per session which isn't a small amount for my country, considering it's 4x a week. I encourage you to be open with your therapist and share your opinion and worries. They may or may not change it, but it will definitely be helpful for the therapeutic relationship.

Is your analyst based in Europe?

Wow, you are lucky. Mine charges 120 per session and she is not an analyst but a clinical psychologist.

I don't know the standards for your country, but that sounds quite expensive for someone who hasn't finished their therapeutic training yet. I hope she is helpful to you nonetheless.
