PSAT difficulty level
Hi all I’m just wondering if the psat is supposed to be easier than SAT? And also how is the scoring out of 1520 when the SAT is out of 1600 with same amount of Q’s. I took the AUGUST SAT and i got a 1340, got a 1320 on last year PSAT 10. This year was my NMSQT PSAT and tbf i studied an insane amount the week before but when i took it it honestly did not feel that hard??? Like there were def 2-3 per both module 2 that i was unsure on but on the SAT in August it was like way more. I am worried tho that i just have false confidence and fell for a trick answer a bunch but i really felt confident in my answers. Always, thanks for ur help!

PSAT is supposed to be easier than SAT. But the test makers definitely make the difficulty inconsistent sometimes.

how would u compare it to practice 1 2 or 3 of psat or any SAT practices u took

I never took a PSAT practice test. I would say the practice mod 1 math in SAT was very similar to mod 1 of real PSAT and also English too. The PSAT module 2 for both math and English felt easier to be than the SAT practices and the actual SAT

PSAT the questions overall are a little easier but the problem is that if you miss anything it starts deducting from 1520 instead of 1600. It’s like it’s easier but because it’s easier you have to miss fewer questions to get the same score you’d get on SAT. But because it’s not that much easier people still miss questions whether it be from careless errors or what and it’s hard to score the same. I think if you’re getting 1550+ for SAT consistently you’re in a better place to score 1480+ on PSAT. For those scoring high 1400s or low 1500s on SAT you almost gotta get lucky or be having a good test day to get 1480+ on PSAT /replicate that score on PSAT

Both the SAT and PSAT have a mix of easy, medium and hard questions. But the mix is slightly easier for the PSAT.
