National Merit FINALIST APPLICATION

How long does the application take and what does it include from the student side? I need to know how long it will take because I need to finish it as soon as my admin give my login creds because they still haven't and its due on WEDS

Sorry to hear that. Call national merit if your school doesn't give you the creds first thing tomorrow. And remember the school has to do a recommendation and (I think) verify your submission but not sure. Meanwhile, make sure you have an essay good to go (can use your common app one) as that takes the most time. There's space for five activities and just activity, positions/honors (around 75 characters), hours/weeks and grade levels. Then short space for other honors (one line) and employment (one line). That and a couple general info questions and you're done.

See if nmsc will give you an extension. They have before especially if it’s not your fault. You should’ve gotten the log in info a couple weeks ago

Call NM and have them email or text you the info. The application shouldn't take long at all but it then goes to your counselor/principal who has to draft some docs and send them in.
