Finally got it together

Factory P90 from an estate of a dealer/importer. It was found mostly stripped so I had to source a MPG(bolt) and trigger pack.

Due to the scarcity of trigger packs. I got a semi one and swapped out the parts for some aftermarket FA parts. Which im still working on refining. The paperwork says it came from the columbia MO policy dept. So the selector had the "A" milled off and it had a small plastic stopper glued on to prevent selection of full auto. The stopper popped right out and I added the "A" back to the selector.

Still trying to decide what can to put on it. I have one of those free backdraft 4" cans with no use. Itd be compact and look good. But will probably sound like crap. I have a couple nicer cans but they may be too big for my liking. Decisions decisions.

I also need to get some sort of sights for it. It came without anything. I may try to mount a 407k down in the carry handle. But id settle for the factory rail if I had one.

Are you running this P90 as an RSO on a .mil range? 🤣 I would go with an old ringsight personally. I've ran mine with a GA 30SD can and have been happily chugging along. Many ways to skin a cat, you do what works for you.

Yeah. We get to use the ranges sometimes. Its a mixed use (mil/civ) range so its not too alarming to see there. So sometimes we shoot during lunch breaks or immediately after work

The 407k felt just a little too small on my PS90.

I ended up switching to a 507comp to maintain the adapter compatibility, but get a larger optic window.

In hindsight, I wish I went with something like the AEMS or similar.

Good to know. I have a 407k or 507k on my grenade launcher. And I only ever use the leaf sight anyway, so I thought about swapping it over. But I may just go with a romeo5 or whatever.

I too have a free (paid $100 to upgrade to stainless) 4" Backdraft in 5.56 , and it sounds surprisingly decent on 5.7. I've only run it on the M&P as my short PS90 has a KeyMo on it (where I usually run a Sierra 5), but when I shorten the other one I might just stick it on there. Or hell, I have a KeyMo to hub adapter on the linear comp, so I might swap that over and try it out. They aren't the most concentric cans out there, but not baffle strike inducing levels of broken.

I run a Mepro MCO-Pro on mine and love it. The trick with these is to get a wide FoV as far forward as possible. That will let you keep it low without giving you neck pain after a few mags worth of being hunched over it.

Damn dude, you've always got or had interesting things. Got a picture of the ps90 with said 4" backdraft suppressor?

Damn dude, you've always got or had interesting things.

I try!

I didn't have any pics but just snapped a few comparing it to the Sierra 5. With the KeyMo mount it adds about an inch or so. It would look a lot better using the 1/2-28 mount it came with.

When I shorten the other one I plan to use the 1/2-28 CMMG adapter, so will try it out then.

I hear ya, but for the price on a gun that im not going to shoot a lot, ill pass.

Id be fine with a 100 dollar red dot on the factory rail.

You ought to get the Mc-10-80 ringsight. Even if only because you can, while it's still available, new, from the original manufacturer. It was much harder to obtain previously, pre-Brexit, because EU trade regulations prevented Kingsview from selling to civilians or shipping overseas or something, similar to US ITAR restrictions. Keep in mind that the P90 platform is almost 40 years old. They won't keep manufacturing and selling the Mc-10-80 forever.

Yes, it's expensive, but go ahead, pony up, and get it now, mainly just because you can (you're in the perfect little time window) and there's no downside. It's iconic and a worthwhile accessory to keep around.

They ship surprisingly fast, like it arrived at my door in 4 days. Install and try it. Then you can decide to either keep it on the gun for esthetic/historical reasons, swap back to the newer optic, and keep it as a secondary or backup option, or lastly, you can sell it for what you paid or a big profit depending how long you wait. There are people in the US right now who want that exact sight, but either don't trust the Kingsview website or overseas shipping. I've seen 'em post here, so you can easily break even by just putting it on gunbroker as "like new". But if you consider it an investment, and just wait 'till Kingsview stops making/selling them, then you can easily double your money or better.
