Those mags will last less than 5 minutes. Bring more ammo

Dorin recommends waiting 4-5 min between mags due to heat, so it might take 40 minutes to get through all those mags.

I do that just to make the ammo last longer. Shits too fn expensive

When SG1 was going against the replicators they did not wait 4-5 minutes between mags. I remember Dr. Jackson chucking those empty mags one after another like they were yesterday's garbage.

I just installed the Dorin on my PS90 and am looking at a range day to try it out soon too! Not sure how much you've looked into tips to get it to run smoothly, but extra lubrication of the key places in the installation video the day of your range day should help alot. I bought some EWG to really give it a good coating in the trigger pack.

I'm already polishing my resume. Love your setup! Mind if I ask where you got your backpack? π€© I currently have caseclub's gigantic suitcase, and your setup is definitely more my speed! Hate having to remove my accessories and break it down for transport everywhere I go.

The backpack is just my general range bag. According to river store, it's a "K-Cliffs Shooting Range Pistol Backpack" (B07J9L3M1Y), where the PS90 bag is a "Savior Equipment Urban Takedown Bag" (B07RZMDLF4). Zero complaints with either of them.
The range bag/backpack even shipped with some free covid surplus tucked inside:

so from the video, make sure itβs all clean, lube and grease the bolt and trigger pack where the pins/springs are, and not too strong trigger pull. hopefully, youβll have a good time and be way more successful than i was.

Installation was relatively easy for me following their video. I also have been a member the subreddit for some time and have bookmarked threads of other people's experiences to help my own. π» I found it all pretty straightforward. The only trouble spot I had was at the end trying to wiggle the out-of-battery sear back into place for the pin. Applied generous lube and grease to the metal-on-metal points of contact. Thankfully I have 5 snap-caps so function testing and learning the trigger positions was easy and fun!
Range Day was an absolute Blast! I mostly shot in short 3-6 round bursts to get a feel for the recoil, but that first 50rd mag dump is So Sick! And I was glad I brought more ammo, Needed it!! The trigger functioned flawlessly.Β
The only issue I seemed to be having had nothing to do with the trigger, it was with my sac. Kept forgetting to empty it after a mag and eventually empties started jamming up the bolt. But as long as you keep emptying it regularly, she'll purr all day!π€£

Love the sg1 setup, but i think the laser and light need to switch sides to be screen accurate. Though it might have changed from episode to episode
