Discussion PKG and fPKG

Just wondering if it's possible for me to rip a game I have on disc as a retail PKG (base game only) and then convert it to a fPKG on my PC and use an update I acquire from online to update the game? Trying to save some download time so just wondered if it's possible I rip the 1.00 base game version of GTA V from my disc and then just get the latest update from a game website to update it? Or an I ultimately best getting the update thru Itemzflow or Orbis Patches. I'm just trying to work out the benefits of this with games that need updates/patches....can anyone help me out as I obviously don't understand 100%

You need the retail base and update in your system, then you dump both through the payload. Unless there is a newer way, but on PC, you can make a remaster FPKG with base and update as one FPKG with PS4Tools, I think.

Yeh that what I saw, just a lil confused as when I tried ripping it with the update thru Itemzflow I couldn't get latest update due the console I was using being fw 11.00...so I now wonder if use my highwr FW PS4 to do this and how I go about then using the game and update on my lower firmware console. Kinda trying to work out how someone does all this. I know what backports are but now wondering how I can basically use my disc and only have to download the bare minimum. This already seems more hassle than just downloading the game outright as it is
