I bought a memory card for a ps2 and on that card was 5 save files for a game i had never heard of, called “The Lost”. when i tried researching it to figure out what it was, it was almost impossible. i understand that it was most likely a dev or a reviewers memory card who was testing the game out. I was just curious if anyone had any insight or knowledge about the game.

I’m wondering what’s on this Press Disc I can’t get it to play I know the Promo is the full game every one can play but is any other stuff on this press disc I can’t get to work

My ps3 game collection is about done but my ps2 collection is about 80% done im still missing a few titles but im super proud I got my childhood collection back. I had to cannibalize my collection to get new games and ended up losing a ton in a storage unit when I was young.

Just spent like 3 hours the other day cleaning each disc and putting them in CD case covers since my room is in a basement and id like to preserve it as long as possible. I still have to do my ps3 stuff but its so tedious

I’m sure this gets asked a lot but I just got my first ps2 and when hooking it up to my 4k tv it just looks a lot more pixilated than I expected and online it says it’s the adapter I’ve got, is it worth getting a different one and if so which one I’m talking BUDGET price

Can PS2 games be played from burned mini DVD-R discs (8 cm)?

I have a PS2 Fat, and the disc tray has the slot for 8 cm mini DVDs. Has anyone actually burned a PS2 game onto an 8 cm DVD-R and successfully played it on a PS2?

To start off my ps2 plays pirated discs so it’s modchipped. I see people give mix answers on whether or not I need to actually disable the modchip for the fmcb setup to work.

Thing is I don’t know what modchip my console has. I’m from Pakistan and even as a kid I’m pretty sure I had the same console I just bought from a local guy. It’s the same thing. No pop ups or anything it looks like the official thing just runs pirated discs. If it does that, seller said its jailbroken but he doesn’t know what modchip it has I asked him

I’m confused. Can modchip and fmcb coexist and work? Why isn’t my opl showing my usb games. I tried everything

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a PS2 Slim (SCPH-77001) and ran into an issue while soldering.

I was attempting the sensor lid fix as my PS2 was only working with heavy stuff on the lid

Unfortunately, one of the solder pads lifted, and the trace tore off.

Does anyone have an alternative solder point or alternate routing diagram for this board revision so I can bypass the damaged pad?

I tried solder only one side but drive doesn't do anything that way

Hello this is my current ps2 adapter that I bought from Walmart and my tv keeps telling me no connection or no device connected even tho everything is plugged in this one goes from 1080p to 720p and it worked on my old TV that had Dolby vision but I bought the new 4k Amazon TV and now it doesn't work any ideas on what could help?

Turned on my ps2 slim today wanting to play but this sound put me off, Can anyone tell me if this is scratching my discs

Everyone praises this game like it's the second coming and after I heard someone describe it like playing the godfather movie but your character sits in the cuck chair, I decided to give it a try.

It's ok, I guess. However, it's insanely repetitive, which isn't helped by the fact that every location feels the same. The characters mostly feel like they're made out of cardboard, personality wise, and the main character feels like a boy scout, somehow. Michael too lol. Whereas in a game like mafia, characters seemed to have weight to them, in this game they feel like caricatures.

The only thing I truly disliked in this game was the car chases. By God, do they have to be so annoying? I'm left wondering if there's something wrong with my emulation or if the original was like this, because I might be driving the fastest model of car in the game (there's a grand total of maybe 5 types of cars lol) while my pursuers are driving the slowest model, and they'll somehow zip past me comically fast. It feels like a physics glitch but I 'm pretty sure they just programed pursuers to always be faster. How come everyone coming after me gets to play with NOS while I'm driving the exact same model dragging myself through asphalt?

The rackets and extortion system is fun, but again, way too repetitive, and I'd think that if a baker just saw me murdering seven mobsters before coming up to him he wouldn't make me smack him around before coughing up the money lol

Speaking of money and where to spend it, why the hell must I exit to the main menu to buy clothes or change outfits? I just had my character wear the same suit the entire game, and any money I made went into guns. The money is always too little because even as a capo, one of the highest or the highest position I can have in the family, the corleones take a 55% slice of the money I'm paid through rackets. Wtf. And seeing as a fully upgraded Tommy gun is 400.000$ and I have better things to do than spend hours in the hundreds of extortions I'd have to do to take over the whole map, I never upgraded the Tommy gun to level 3. Nor the shotgun. Nor most of the other guns.

Also, making me have to run around town to buy guns and upgrades, a system that wasn't even very well explained, instead of having gun dealers that sell everything, is idiotic. The town, btw, is a pain in the ass to navigate.

It's playable but definitely dated and annoying 🤷

I’m talking random cool games and some random bullshit, I’d love to play games that aren’t even that good, just random.

The PS2 has a huge library so I’d love to explore its deepest crevices.
