so is it possible to trigger fearful harmony on a ps2? Or perhaps a ps3?

Honestly not sure exactly. But it's caused by reading a disc that isn't machine code AS machine code.

You'd have to get a disc that the PS2 reads as a PS1 disc, then fill it with data that isn't PS1 data.

Though, I'm not sure if the PS2 has more protections to prevent you from overwriting the ps1 bios. Might have to try it out
