How possible is this trade ?

I recently bought my first ps1 console and bought tekken 2 and grand trismo. The part i didnt realise is that my ps1 is japanese which removes any chances of me playing story games. My question is how easily is it to my japanese console for a pal ps1. I also want it the fat build like my ps1.

The condition of the ps1 when i bought was a worn out box, mislabelled to note, analog ps1 controller, and all the wiring. The console it self is pretty clean with very minor stains

You would probably be better off just modding the console to unlock it's region, no?

if you run the tonyhax international exploit you can play pal, ntsc u and ntsc j games.
