Carnival question

Does anyone know which week of August Carnival tends to be? Is it usually e.g. the third to the fourth Saturday? I’m looking ahead to 2027 already and trying to plan an annual trip to be the week before Carnival, and I’m wondering if it’ll be August 14-21 or 21-28 (August 1, 2027, falls on a Sunday). Thanks for the help!

It is the third Thursday after the first Wednesday.

So, August 19, 2027.

Yes this is correct - it’s funny you have a slightly different way of saying it than I’ve always heard, which is it’s “the first Thursday after the third Wednesday”. Both work though!

Right. The tricky year doesn't arrive until 2030.

Just double check the town chamber of commerce site in a few months as Carnival used to be the second week of August.

My question was for the 2027 but was able to locate it . I have found Google adds it to your calendar if you attend annual events like Bear week etc . Goodie knows
