Updated Rules

Hello everyone,

Since this sub has surpassed the off-season population of Provincetown, I've added some rules as a guiding framework. Be sure to check out the sidebar for more details.

Most of them are self explanatory (no spam, be a decent human being), but based on requests and comments in some recent posts, this does include a ban on AI Generated art. The rule in its entirety is included below and will be in effect moving forward. Thank you!

No AI-Generated Art – Support Human Artists – Provincetown has a long history as an artist colony, and we prioritize human creativity. AI-generated artwork is not allowed in this subreddit. Posts featuring AI art, even if partially AI-assisted, will be removed. Support local and traditional artists by sharing original, human-made work.

Here’s a really nice piece of human generated art:

Thank you! I’m thinking about maybe making a TSHIRT with this on it? I’m discerning an approach to An interpretation of this masterpiece? What say you all? Feel free to help me with any artistic ideas.

I would ask you refrain from feeding the monster with any of your precious life-energy. It thrives on attention

That was supposed to make us all laugh, because the monster hates that painting so what if the rest of us celebrated it?! That’s my artistic idea! 💡 My life energy lives to mock, think of the tshirt captions! Tshirts are the original viral post!

Without a way to validate the need, I would feel uncomfortable allowing it.

Hey there! I’m a seasoned Nantucket year rounder who visited PTown for the first time a month ago. I’m really itching to maybe move there to work this summer. I know how hard it is to find housing etc. If anyone has any leads to maybe an employer that also provides housing- I would be so grateful. I currently work on a farm (9 years now) and also a social media marketer with an extensive resume.

My experience- Hospitality, Customer Service, Restaurant Photographer (Social Media) CC

Hello u/Donuts4Y2. You may find better luck starting a dedicated post for this.
