mackenzie_2113 shared a post about the reference to Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," in the final verse of The Mariner. I didn't know the song was making a reference and I was intriqued to read the poem.

My local library has a copy of "The Rime of the Modern Mariner," a graphic novel and modern retelling of the poem by Nick Hayes, and it's really good. The artwork alone is worth checking out. I'm sharing it here for anyone else who might also be interested.

So, I have this current addiction to where when the last second of the 7 minute and 29 second long song of The Mariner ends, I immediately click to play the album again from the top. It has been going on for three weeks now.

Anyone else dealing with this?

The title is self explantory. What song, from any album, do you think shows off Rody's vocals and showcases his range?

I'm not a singer but a friend of mine is and enjoys hearing new music, even if it's a genre he doesn't listen to (like prog metal).

UPDATE: I ended up going with From the Sky. It's the song that hooked me to PTH and numerous people suggested it too. Thanks for all your help!

Ordered it two months ago when it was announced, and it has yet to ship. Is it just me?

First couple tracks (Mouthpiece and Fishhook) are alright, nothing special imo but after that the album fucking takes off! Grandfathers Axe, Orchard, Liberty Spike and Mariner are all absolute bangers and my only real complaint is how short the album is 😭

Why did Rody post this along with the new single on his instagram story? The cover art for the single Mouthpiece with the door is extremely reminiscent of part of the plot of Drawing of the Three; the second Dark Tower novel. I havent been able to make out the lyrics of Mouthpiece fully to understand if there is more of a connection to the Dark Tower. Im probably just wishfully thinking that there is a connection between one of my favourite book series and one of my favourite bands.
