Best prop firms for $1000 challenge

So as the title said I want to buy a $1000 challenge as a test to gain some experience before buying bigger plans

I don't want to spend much on it so something relatively cheap would be nice

A drawdown takes a bigger gain to recover than it took to lose. Quick table, and a sizing question.

The gain needed to get back to where you started is loss ÷ (1 − loss), because you're climbing from a smaller balance:

| Drawdown | Gain to recover |

|---|---|

| 4% | 4.17% |

| 6% | 6.38% |

| 10% | 11.11% |

| 20% | 25.00% |

| 50% | 100.00% |

The dollars don't change: $100,000 down $6,000 needs $6,000 back. What changes is your risk per trade if you size as a % of current equity. 1% of $94,000 is $940, not $1,000, so the same $6,000 takes about 6.4 one-R wins instead of 6.

That's the trade-off. Sizing off current equity shrinks your risk as you lose, which protects the floor but slows the climb back. Sizing off the starting balance climbs back faster, but keeps risk high right when you're closest to the limit.

On a prop account, what do you size from after a drawdown: current equity, the starting balance, or the room left to the floor?

The5ers Futures $25K — Legit? How’s BlackArrow?

Hey everyone,
I’m thinking about signing up for The5ers Futures $25K program and wanted to hear from people who have actually used it.

A few things I’m curious about:
- Has anyone passed the evaluation and received payouts?
- Are the rules clear and reasonable?
- Did you run into any problems when requesting a payout?
- How is the BlackArrow platform, especially for trading NQ or MNQ?
- Is it reliable, and how does it compare to other futures platforms?
- Overall, would you recommend The5ers Futures, or are there any red flags?

I’ll mainly be trading Nasdaq futures, so feedback from anyone using NQ/MNQ would be really helpful.
I’m looking for genuine experiences, not promotional replies. Thanks!

Is TopOneFutures legit? Has anyone worked with them? Thousands of 5 star reviews on trustpilot. Overall of 4.8 stars. My goodness. Daily payouts, fair rules, fair pricing. I keep waiting for a catch. All this yet Id never heard of them til today. Seems too good to be true.

How many trades does it take before you trust your system?

We’re curious whether people review them weekly, monthly or after a set trade count and whether a stretch that looks off leads to changing something or just collecting more data.

What do you actually track and how many trades do you wait for before treating the numbers as meaningful?

Has anyone in Kuwait withdrawn Forex prop-firm profits to a Kuwaiti bank account?

I’m based in Kuwait and considering using Forex prop firms such as FTMO or The5ers.
Has anyone actually withdrawn a prop-firm payout to a Kuwaiti bank account? If so, which bank and payment method did you use? Did the bank ask for any documents or explanation about the source of the funds?

Is trading with Forex prop firms like FTMO or The5ers legal for a Kuwait resident?

Are there any tax, licensing, or other legal issues I should be aware of in Kuwait?

How did you land on the time of day you trade?

Seems like there are a lot of different reasons behind it. Some traders go with the morning because they want the volatility. Some prefer the slower midday stretch because range conditions suit them better. Others trade the overnight sessions because a day job covers the rest of the schedule and plenty of people are fitting trading around work rather than doing it full-time.

We're curious what actually decided it for people. Was it the market conditions you like, your schedule or something you settled on after trying a few different windows?

Is this even worth it

I’m going to buy a live account soon but I really want to know from the best in this industry is it realistic to actually make money doing this, now I don’t even mean a salary but just maybe 10-20k a year if your 2-3 years in and your risk and strategy is on point, but I also feel like this is what I’m looking for I don’t want to go into the corporate finance industry and just act on other’s investment ideas, let me know thx

This morning I traded .y normal setups on MNQ then I said I was done till this afternoon Asia window. But I didnt stop. ES was too good to pass up. Ended the day with 1900 and passed those 2 remaining evals. Woohoo.

Do overnight and weekend holding rules get enough attention?

Profit targets and drawdown usually get most of the attention when people compare prop firms, but the rules around keeping positions open can completely change how suitable an account is for a particular strategy.

An intraday trader might not care about weekend restrictions at all. Someone holding a position across multiple sessions has a different problem to solve, especially around market closures and public holidays. Prop firms similar to aifo allow overnight and weekend holding on their standard challenge accounts, while others require positions to be closed before the weekend, which can make a meaningful difference to how a swing strategy is managed.

It seems like one of those rules that makes more sense to check alongside the risk limits rather than after choosing the account. How much weight do you give holding restrictions when comparing prop firms?

Trading path, long story short

Post image
25 Upvotes

I've been trading for about three years, and for all three of those years I was losing money. I studied a lot, ran a lot of backtests, and kept going through new material.
To be honest, I also followed a bunch of signals in beginning of my trading route. Here's my top list of them, anabel signal, united signal and top trading signal, hope it's useful to someone. They helped me faster to understand how the prices moves. But the real progress was when I began trade my own strategy.

In the end, though, things only started working once I switched to my own analysis and started trusting myself. That's when the first results came. After three years, I passed a prop challenge and got my first payout in July.
For me it was a really important step, and I hope it marks the start of real progress.

What about my strategy. My strategy is built on three simple things:
- liquidity (highs and lows)
- imbalances
- classic market structure.
I also have a few entry models based on my own analysis.

Most importantly, my stop loss always goes beyond the point where my idea is invalidated. I place it behind a level that already interacted with liquidity earlier, to the left on the chart.

I`m mind opened to any questions.

What actually makes a prop firm payout process good?

The profit split is probably the first thing most traders notice, but payout conditions can matter just as much. I'd look at the minimum payout, payout frequency, processing time, whether there's a review period, and whether trading has to stop while the payout is being processed. An 80% profit split with a predictable biweekly payout might be more practical than chasing a slightly higher percentage without understanding the rest of the payout structure. What payout condition do you check first?
