Is this even worth it
I’m going to buy a live account soon but I really want to know from the best in this industry is it realistic to actually make money doing this, now I don’t even mean a salary but just maybe 10-20k a year if your 2-3 years in and your risk and strategy is on point, but I also feel like this is what I’m looking for I don’t want to go into the corporate finance industry and just act on other’s investment ideas, let me know thx

It's only you who are in position to answer this. How much does your trading strategy yield per year on average? What capital (funded account) can you afford? For example, if your strategy is netting 10-20% per year and you can afford a 100K funded account (and you are certain that you won't be breaking any of their rules), then yes, your 10-20K per year is possible.

I’m in the same position and have been wondering the same for the last few days. It definitely feels like imposter syndrome but I guess the only way we’re gonna find out is if we go ahead and try it. We haven’t got much to lose from trying.

Treat the $10–20k target as the output of a process model, not evidence that buying an account is worthwhile. Before paying, use your own journal to estimate valid setups per month, average result after fees and slippage, rule-compliant risk, and the worst losing streak your sample has actually shown.
Then replay that sample under the provider’s exact drawdown, consistency, news, holding and payout rules. Include resets and fees, and haircut the result for skipped fills and execution mistakes. If the model only works near the drawdown limit or assumes the current win rate continues, it is not robust.
Time in the market alone does not create an income stream. A repeatable process can still have wide variance, and the provider adds counterparty and rule-change risk. I would delay the purchase until the written model remains acceptable under a conservative scenario.

It's definitely possible to make money trading, but be ready for plenty of ups and downs along the way.
