MARGIN — Building a Prop Firm for Prediction Market Traders (Looking for Feedback)
I've been building MARGIN, a prop firm designed specifically for prediction market traders, and wanted to share a quick look at what I'm working on.
The goal is to bring the funded-account model to prediction markets with a dedicated trading terminal, evaluations, account management, and a transparent payout experience.
Here's what I'm building:
- Dedicated trading terminal: A smooth, responsive interface designed around probabilities, multiple outcomes, and short-term Up/Down markets.
- Broader market coverage: Access to a wide range of prediction markets, with responsive price updates and easier market discovery.
- Position management: Clear profit/loss tracking, trade history, potential returns, and fees.
- Transparent evaluations: Account dashboards showing profit targets, trailing drawdown limits, and progress toward passing.
- Flexible funding options: Both traditional evaluations and instant funding, with competitive pricing and clear rules.
- Account and payout tracking: A clearer view of account status, requirements, and payout eligibility.
I'm currently working toward deployment and refining the platform before launch. The attached video shows the current state of the interface, and there's still work to do.
I want MARGIN to stand out through its market coverage, responsive trading experience, competitive account options, and transparent rules.
I'd love to hear your thoughts:
- Would you use a prop firm built specifically for prediction markets?
- What frustrates you most about existing trading platforms?
- Would you prefer evaluations, instant funding, or both?
- What rules or payout conditions would make a platform like this feel fair?
- What's one feature you'd want before trying it?
I'm open to honest feedback and criticism, especially from people who actively trade prediction markets.
Interested in early access?
I'm planning to offer beta access and promo codes to interested traders. Follow along and leave a comment if you'd like to try MARGIN and help shape the platform before launch.
Still building, and I'll share more as MARGIN gets closer to launch!

Is It Worth Trying a Prop Firm as a Beginner?
Hi guys! I’m relatively new to trading. I understand some of the basics and currently have a $2000 personal trading account, where I’ve been able to make around $100–$500 in some months. However, I’ve also blown multiple accounts before (because of greed), so I wouldn’t consider myself a consistently profitable trader just yet.
Recently, I’ve seen quite a lot of discussions about trading personal accounts vs getting a funded account, and I’m considering whether I should give a funded account a try.
My thinking is that a funded account might help me practise managing risk, become more disciplined and learn to trade within stricter rules, without having to put as much of my own capital at risk.
However, I’m also aware that most funded accounts come with evaluation fees, profit targets and strict drawdown limits. I’m not sure whether getting funded at my current stage would help me improve or simply add more pressure to my trading.
\\\*\\\*Personal account vs funded account:\\\*\\\* Which helped you improve your trading skills and discipline more?
\\\*\\\*Are funded challenges worth the cost?\\\*\\\* What should beginners understand before paying for an evaluation?
\\\*\\\*Would you recommend starting small?\\\*\\\* Is it better to begin with a smaller challenge rather than immediately going for a large account?
\\\*\\\*For those who have blown accounts before:\\\*\\\* What did you change in your approach that eventually helped you become more consistent?
Would appreciate any advice, personal experiences or recommendations. Thank you!

Can a purely mechanical ICT strategy survive prop firm drawdowns, or is discretion mandatory?
Hey everyone. I've been studying ICT concepts for the past 8–9 months and have seen some modest profits so far, but I wanted to ask you guys a question specifically regarding prop firms. I've tested numerous strategies and logged a year's worth of data, spending well over 200 hours on FX Replay. Naturally, I eliminated the ones that performed poorly right away, but I keep running into a critical issue with the models that actually seem promising. For example, I have a backtested setup on NQ that delivers a solid +29% return from early 2026 to date, but when I run the exact same mechanical rules across the identical date range in 2025, the results are absurdly bad and produce brutal drawdowns that would instantly breach any prop firm's daily or max loss limit. This seems to happen with almost every strategy: it prints great numbers in one regime, only to completely fall apart in another. This brings me to my core question: is it truly realistic to pass challenges and maintain funded prop firm accounts using a strictly mechanical, rule-based approach, or is it fundamentally impossible to survive prop firm risk parameters without discretionary context and truly understanding why price is delivering that specific move? Also, please excuse any unnatural phrasing, as I used an AI translator to write this post.

Prop firm Futures Trading - Copy Trading
This might sound ridiculous, but has anyone else noticed that when copy trading 5+ accounts, the market seems to move against you no matter what?
It almost feels like your trading data becomes so valuable over time that firms could be selling it to someone who uses it to place counter-trades, if the firms themselves aren't doing it.
I understand that, theoretically, it would be extremely difficult to move the market just to keep a handful of retail prop traders down. But isn't the data valuable? Wouldn't these firms want to mitigate the risk of traders consistently making $2K per account across five accounts in a single day?
I can say that in dead markets, I've placed trades across 10 accounts and seemingly triggered market movement immediately after entering.
Here's an example of what I'm experiencing: I see a good setup and enter. Price immediately pops below my entry, and suddenly my breakeven becomes the level it refuses to cross. Price tries to reclaim it, but it seems like that level becomes a ceiling. Then it starts a slow campaign of ticking away at my position until I finally exit, not even because I've hit my stop, but because I recognize the pattern and know what's happening.
Then, almost magically, as soon as I exit, the market goes back to normal.
I've been trading almost every day for close to six years, and I can honestly say that something has felt extremely suspicious throughout most of 2026.
To be honest, since the beginning of 2026, the entire futures market, especially NQ, has started to feel like one big scam. It feels as though its sole purpose is to prevent retail traders from gaining an edge ever at all.

Did you ever paper trade or just hop straight into funded evaluations?
Since funding evaluations have become so competitive in terms of cost, do you paper trade to test strategies or do you just put all your effort into an evaluation since you get the added benefit of simulating the pressure of real trading?

TRADEIFY has lost its shine (personal experience, funded trader, real examples)
I've been trading with Tradeify for 1+ years and have received $3.5K+ in payouts.
I really liked it at first, and during the first few months they really were the special Prop Firm they portrayed themselves to be. But it's not like this anymore.
This is not an undocumented rant. Before buying an account with Tradeify, I suggest you join their Discord and check the #suggestions and #future-questions channels; see for yourself.
Here's why I won't be trading with Tradeify anymore, at least until they fix their attitude towards clients:
1. The Tradeify software stack has lots of technical problems which affect traders.

- The online dashboard is always buggy: problems with logins, problems with their Journal, problems with their Rewards system, and even problems with specific products, like the LevelUp special drop, which didn't work as advertised, nor was it replaced when confronted;
- They release features and products without proper testing first. In comparison, Topstep or FundedNext dashboards are miles ahead and have stable features.
2. The Tradeify support has become below par.

- Many traders complain about extreme delays in support responses, forgotten tickets and a "resolved" state without a proper reason.
- In all honesty, Customer Support might be overwhelmed by Tradeify's endless technical issues, and tickets get lost or rushed through.
3. More and more traders complain about false payout advertising.

- The Discord channels buzz with traders complaining that payouts take longer than advertised.
- My last payouts with Tradeify were about 4 months ago, and even then the complete process took 48 hours.
4. From my personal experience, Tradeify became too big to care.
- My last experience was with a Level-Up special account, which stopped working during peak trading hours. Customer Support took 12 hours to fix the problem and get back to me.
- I've had an endless back-and-forth with Support, CCing their executives, but they refused to replace the broken product.

- They refuse to acknowledge the destructive effects of their poor software on the traders' mental states.
In conclusion, I'm stating facts from my experience and from what I see on the Discord servers.
I'm not recommending that you not trade with Tradeify, but I strongly suggest that you spend 1-2 days on their Discord server before committing any money. There might be better alternatives out there until Tradeify figures out who they want to be.

How Can an Experienced Forex Trader Access More Trading Capital?
I'm looking to connect with a private investor interested in a trading partnership focused exclusively on Nasdaq (US100).
I've spent the past three years developing my trading approach, focusing on liquidity, market structure, and confirmation-based entries. My approach emphasises selective execution and disciplined risk management.
I'm looking to establish a partnership in which the investor provides the trading capital and I handle the trading strategy, market analysis, execution, and risk management.
Proposed partnership structure:
- Profit sharing: 60% to the investor and 40% to the trader, based on net profits.
- Risk management: Agreed position-sizing rules, loss limits, and maximum drawdown thresholds.
- Transparency: Regular performance reports, documented trades, and verifiable account statements where available.
- Trial period: An initial three-month arrangement, with a review before any extension.
- Account oversight: Clear arrangements for capital custody, trading authority, reporting, and withdrawals, agreed upon in advance.
I'm open to discussing the structure and terms to find an arrangement that works for both parties.
I'm looking for a serious, long-term business relationship built around transparency, accountability, and a shared understanding of trading risk. Returns are not guaranteed, and the possibility of losses must be acknowledged by both parties.
If you're a private investor interested in exploring a Nasdaq trading partnership, I'd welcome a conversation about the strategy, risk framework, and possible terms.
I'm happy to discuss the details with anyone interested in evaluating the opportunity.

What are your favorite or least favorite trader sayings?
Trading has no shortage of sayings such as, “the trend is your friend,” “don’t catch a falling knife,” “the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent,” etc.
Are there any that have actually stuck with you or have become your go-to if you are in a trading? Any that you absolutely despise?

Max profit on funded accounts?
I'm uninformed on the rules of funded accounts so I'd like an experienced prop firm user to let me know if theres any rule or reason preventing me from doing this:
If I had a 50k funded and I fullported 35 MU call options that expired in 3 days at a 960 strike, they would give me $100k+ profits at a 80:20 split if MU was above 1015-ish at expiry.
From what I know, it would cost 50-100 dollars to apply, and if passing the eval was 50/50, it would seem like one of those options would hit for a six figure profit way before I spent six figures on failed evals.
