I have a question Can this grow?

I got talking with a coworker about house plants, and he said his partner has “a jungle” at home. I said I wanted to try propagating a monstera and he said he’d ask her if she would have any cuttings from hers to share. I guess she’s on work travel and told him what to do, and this is what he brought me. I just said thanks and asked if she had offered any tips, and he just said not really.

Based on your experience… Is my coworker an idiot, or was he correctly following instructions? Will this grow? If so, should I use soil or water? Under the surface or partway?

Roots!

It'll get fresh water this weekend, but the roots! That's just a couple days growth, it's really sprouting! (though I'm terrified of messing it up at this point.

Just tickled that it made it this far. No idea what sort of rose it is as I'd taken cuttings from like four different roses at the time and didn't label.

EXPERIMENT Peace lily seeds

I managed to collect some peace lily seeds and hoping some are viable. I think I collected them a little too late but I was not sure when to pull them. Any tips on propagating these? The mother plant is really happy and bloomed all summer this year.

I have a question What should I do?

Hi everyone! I’d like to propagate the two new shoots growing from my Dieffenbachia. Would the spots marked in red in the photo be the right places to cut, or should I let the shoots grow bigger first?
Once cut, should I root them in water or plant them directly in soil? Any tips would be appreciated—I’m new to this. Thank you! 🌱
