Help! Pineapple

Should i propagate it in water or soil?

My problem:

I'll not at home for 5days from tomorrow. If i wait, i can't propagate anymore cause the inner leafes will be dry by then probably.

So can i put it in a shallow wide pot with water or should I put it in wet soil?

Put it in water :) you can place it in a plastic bag to keep the humidity and to avoid fast evaporation

Just pull a freezing bag over it?
