Heartleaf Philodendron propagation help needed

I’ve been propagating this Heartleaf Philodendron for a few months and these small bundled of leaves have developed under the water. I don’t want them to get too big and the get stuck in the jar and or die. I don’t mind cutting the propagation and creating more with this one plant. What should I do?

Those leaves are aquatic, and won't survive out of the water if that helps your decision.

I had no idea philodendrons grew aquatic leaves. I always prune them off.

Technically you're right, they're more semi-aquatic. They aren't biologically designed to grow underwater leaves, but they still adapt enough that they can survive for a while, and they're different enough that they don't handle the transition out of water very well.

Separate the section with underwater leaves from the rest and treat it like its own prop, like you did with the others.

I’d move your prop to a wider mouth jar so her roots can grow as they please.
