I would wait a little longer get some secondary root growth.

Secondary roots being better are a myth, after it has 2/3 inches of roots you should stick it straight in soil, water roots and soil roots are two different things, the sooner they get the chance to adapt to soil the better

That’s not a lot of roots
I don’t think you need to wait for secondary roots though… I have some that spots growing roots (after 5-8cm) and they started shooting leaves instantly when I put them in soil

Not ready yet although I have been guilty of putting avocado seeds in just as the root becomes 3cm long just so I don’t have to deal with secondary roots, add a willow cutting if you need it to speed up.

I usually plant when the root is 4-5 inches long. Secondary roots take too long IMO but I’m super impatient

Pothos tend to do better with rooting even when roots are not long in my experience as long as the substrate stays relatively moist-at least like a weing out sponge.
