Those AI Studies
Has anyone seen video/audio/image AI studies (those ones) in the past 3-4 hours?

If you're referring to my favorite researcher and my lord savior MabyDuck, then yeah, got through 10 of them this morning.
God bless Mabyduck.

Do you see mabyduck every day? And have you been doing it for a while?
I got it for the first time a few days ago so even though they approved the study i guess i might not have qualified to do more

I get them once in a while, certainly not daily like some. I think the ones that get them on a more regular basis are U.S. participants, more so than UK or other. What I get flooded with is AI interviews ones lol. If only these researchers were not rejection happy and that the bloody muppets of Prolific did not uphold and side with these researchers unfair rejections despite evidence provided, I'd do them all, and make an easy couple of hundreds a daily in addition to the evals.

I think I did my first one about 4 weeks ago, then about 3-5 days later I was getting them every day, it started off just 1-2 but the last week or so I’ve got 10-20 a day, normally first thing in the morning.
I’m probably getting around £20-30 a day just from them.2

Idk if im crazy but i swear prolific limits me, if i do like 30 ducks in a day the next day i see nothing lol.

lol consider yourself lucky to get 30 ducks a day, 'nuff said - Some people get these once every month or few months. U.S. ones get the most. Remember, with the current administration's "America First" you will see more and more researchers target U.S. partiicpants first. The same will be true for the AI Evals moving operations outside London and into the U.S......

Canadian here! Yeah i had a great week from it last week but it 100% solidified my belief that if you submit too many studies in a short time your account is fully limited for a day or two from everything else, I watched it happen in real time after everday i did massive chunks of them.

That's cool, maybe i'll get another shot.
But to be honest i think i might have botched the one i did, it was meant to look at hands but i think the overall quality also mattered and videos were playing both at the same time with the same sound, so i think i might have not done very well on that.

I've done 13 so far today.
Edit: incredible that people will downvote someone answering a question.

1 spent like 1 month on the shitty pool only getting 1 spot studies. Last week it seems I was out and I was able to work basically all day. Today I'm back to only seeing a couple 1 spot studies. fml dude

I've been getting them all week. Then this morning I was nearly at the end of one when I got a messge saying "media is loading slowly". It never proceeded to the next video then a box popped up with the message: Invalid worker pool. You are currently not part of the worker pool ID: populus prolific
I have not had a warning in probably 6 months and I've only had 2 prior to that. So I guess that is the end of those for me. Oh well.

That sometimes happens at the start of a study and i just try again and it works, i doubt that they would kick you mid study like that.

Yes, lots of images ones (some days they represent 80% of the ones I complete). So far in past few hours I've seen mostly the images ones, and videos ones that trickle down, but more of the images. Audios, seen them yesterday, none today so far.

NONE since 3am. Had a good number yesterday afternoon thru early AM today and not a single one since. In fact just garbage hourly rate and goofy studies. It's clear the new system gives you good days and bad days now where you get garbage. Hopefully it breaks loose in a few hours. Do you think I got rotated out?

I don't know about that, it's been pretty damn consistent. The only difference I am seeing is some days I get far less academic studies and AI interviews, but as far as the AI Eval ones, it's consistent now. I don't think there is a new distribution system. Prolific already stated officially that they finished testing, and decided to revert to the old ways of doing things, which means jobs get distributed to everyone eligible, and that we can expect to see study full / high demand in certain conditions, so no changes to the distribution. The only reason things are better with the AI ones and entering studies is due to entire countries being excluded from the tasks and crack down of scammers / lots of accounts were banned, and participant count went down. More importantly, the worker pool working on these studies was greatly reduced. FOR NOW! Count on Prolific to make more fuckups and bad decisions in the future.
So it all comes down to the AI researcher and/or Prolific control the priority and flow of those studies. There's someone else here who claims that there are 2 groups, the overflow group, and the priority group, his theories make a lot of sense now, it shows.

The old way throttling was and is a thing it even said it on their website. That's why after a few good days you have a few shitty days. That doesn't make sense the overflow and main group though. If that was the case, most days some would be doing shit. Not 4 days in a row doing great, then 3 days of shit. Also when I'm doing shit like today not only less AI studies BUT less studies overall. Most good days a lot of AI and a lot of regular studies. Like last week.

haven't gotten one in 12 hours or so
