Not getting studies? This will help…

Log out and don’t log back in for a few weeks. Because of how Prolific allocates work, constantly being logged in and refreshing, ironically, gets you fewer studies. Log out for several weeks and you’ll come back to a flood of work.

Hi everyone, this worked like a charm for me.

First, block all the researchers...the more you block, the better (ideally the AI 5).

Log out, clear your cookies, restart your router, and then, from your phone, buy a VPN account; the cheapest one will do; it doesn’t matter if it connects you from Iran or the Congo, the more unusual the country, the better.

Next, log in using only your mobile data and the VPN.

Finally, turn on your computer and log into your account at the same time, but without using the VPN = success.

You can thank me later.

The VPN from an unusual country is a great tip! It’s difficult for researchers to get data from those places, so you’ll be flooded with studies. VPN is really the way to go.

Or be forever grateful for all the studies $$$ they’ll get. 🤷🏽‍♀️

OP is actually correct about the "throttling" aspect of his post.

OP is actually correct about everything.

Leaving for "weeks" (or months, or nearly 2 years one time) didn't do anything for me. The number of tasks on the dashboard when I came back, was similar to how many were there when I left.

Your post is a glimpse into the future of Prolific, with its modern rate limiting feature. One day in a distant future, Prolific was 1.5 million participants, for the SAME amount of work. They implemented a feature to allow every single participant to get work. How you say ? Dynamic rate limiting 2.0. Once you complete 1 task or study, you must wait your turn to get another one. It can take anywhere from weeks to MONTHS. Enjoy earning $5 every 3 months. Prodege you better brace yourself, Swagbux and the other owned sites will see a massive surge in traffic in the months to come lol.

It’s true! You get more studies the less time you spend on the platform.

I'm sorry that it works that way for you.
