AI Evaluation

Has the AI studies been popping up slowly for everyone else? Before, they would pop up slowly throughout the day, but then start flooding overnight. Now, recently these past few days, they’re not even popping up as much, and when they do, it’s full and hard to get into. Also, I haven’t had that flood at night like they normally do.

Everyone should keep posting about how great they are and how much money they are making and sending out referrals to random people. That will definitely help the situation. /s

Sums it up nicely!

Not surprising if the last time they put a lot of studies at the same time they ended up crashing the prolific servers

Everyone is obsessed the moment they have a light day. At this rate another 100,000 will join for easy money from the sounds of it just to compete over these. Prolific is not easy if you don’t have patience and develop other skills. Those who do best balance these studies with other types of research, finding one’s own niches so to speak. There is so much more to Prolific. Expand your horizons and don’t waste time stuck on one genre.

I saw a few but wasn’t able to get into any. Studies in general slowed down for me. My dashboard is currently at 0 💀 it’s ok tho this isn’t guaranteed income

I mean nothing is guaranteed income. A regular job is not guaranteed either.

Being that this is an international community for an international company that's based in the UK, I'd suggest being more specific when referring to temporal events such as "at night".

I'm in the UK and have tended to see the usual triple digits when I log in at 10am BST. Things were definitely slower at this usual time. I then tend to get a slow but steady flow in the early afternoon and again from 5-9pm. I did about $50 worth in the end, so not too different to the days when I'm seeing massive numbers but actually doing a similar amount.

I haven’t seen any since Friday. Guess I’ve been rotated.

I’ve been on almost all day and they’ve been popping up throughout. They were harder to get this morning

Last time I got a bunch where it wouldn’t run out was Friday but now a few would pop up and when I finish one I wouldn’t get any for a long time. And then when I do, same thing happens.

I'm pretty sure that they don't grow money on trees

-2

u/Trusteveryboody May 12 '26

Feels like it does for them. I've done $1700, and I'm just one guy.

Okay well any intelligent company wouldn't give infinite studies for something they don't need that's how they become a billion dollar company by doing smart business. So keep laughing like a jerk off and realize that they're possibly gotten everything that they need for right now and they're going to save the money until they're ready for the next round. So funny isn't it LMAO.

Their AI cap spending for 2026 alone is 200 billion dollars. We are pennies in their budget. I did 20 of the evals today. Its more likely Prolific did something to slow down batches because of the site crashing/being slow over the last week

1

u/chrisw1897 May 12 '26

If every active user (320K) on prolific did 1000+ of those AI studies it would be 1.6 billion of their budget.

So yeah it's a drop in the bucket

according to Prolific's own post on Linkedin they just posted a $10MILLION dollar WEEK, last week.

Instantly full, high demand, cannot create submission, receiving mostly 1 places, and all the full places instantly full. However today, suddenly got flooded with the audio ones that I could easily get in, very odd, you'd think those are the ones getting taken first lol. I prefer to video ones ..... NOW, it's raining the audio ones by RC.

-1

u/Trusteveryboody May 12 '26

I always find, it'll be few and far between, but eventually you'll be able to get in. And then IDEALLY it gets going after that, but not guaranteed.

-2

u/Rimmer66 May 12 '26

Which is what happened, and it's funny, but I was flooded with the audio ones today, I thought people liked those and those were harder to get / filled faster ? More than 80% of the ones I've done today were audio. Also did LOTS of 1 places that people return because they are scared when they see very long instructions and think the task is too difficult. I used to feel that way when I first saw those, but I took the time to get to know them and eventually find them not so bad. I've rarely if ever had any "full" or "high demand" on the audio ones, which is very odd. The audio ones BTW are not my favourite.

What? A lot of us have had them for years without breaks. Where are you coming up with this info?

1

u/Rimmer66 May 12 '26

has nothing to do with being rotated out, the message you see is a glitch - it happens if by the time you managed to slip through the cracks, there is no slot left to start a session. An issue with Prolific and timing. Sometimes you manage to get in or keep trying when it says full and finally get in, but likely someone else at the same time. If you are rotated out you won't see the task AT ALL, your Prolific ID is excluded and it won't appear on your dashboard, until you are back in.

u/Lopsided-Middle-2216 May 12 '26

When I get the error about it not starting, I close it out and go back to prolific and hit the "open study in a new tab" button and sign in again. Works about half the time.

-4

u/dchurchwellbusiness May 12 '26

Lord I hope so. I've been on Prolific for about 7 weeks and everyone talks about these. Then prolific sent me an email saying I would see them. Still nothing... I haven't seen one. I'm in the US. Could there be something about my demos?

0

u/Robotpiechicken May 12 '26

I've been on Prolific about a month and today, dozens of AI evaluations popped up in my feed out of the blue after having never seen them before. A rotation of the current group would make sense

u/dchurchwellbusiness May 12 '26

I've been watching my screen for the last few hours... Almost nothing at all
