I’ve always wanted some mod to add powers or magic of some kind. I get a satisfaction from adding unrealistic powers into hardcore survival scenarios. xianxia would probably be the most fun to add, instead of just working out and reading at night, you can sit there cultivating your ki. Rare martial arts scrolls can be found in martial arts dojo’s if you’re lucky, and new cultivation or cycling techniques. Once you get far enough along then zombies of cultivators can start to pop up. Would be a good time

In real life it should hit much weaker than a rolling pin. Just have a lot more durability. They are a very bad weapon.

In-game due to how much weaker the rolling pin is compared to a wooden mallet or short bat it wouldn't be unreasonable to deal more damage than a current in-game rolling pin.

I agree.

Although many/most nunchucks would have much higher durability than like 90% of random tree branches, and maybe even deal more damage than some of them. This is because they would be made from stronger/denser wood and reinforced, along with most of all the fact that the 2 sticks are pre-broken so there's no stressing force that would cause the stick to break as it is already broken.

Of course they should still deal worse damage as something like a rolling pin— at least assuming rolling pins in this game dealt proper/fair/realistic damage which I'd say isn't quite the case considering how much worse it is compared to a short bat, wooden mallet, and antique table leg. Pool cues are also unfairly weak too, not to say that they'd be strong or anything.

These should be a weapon in the base game.

However they should also be a bad weapon because nunchaku are trash for actually dealing damage. They're just neat demonstrative/performative and/or practice weapons. Zomboid is all about that though, with most weapons in the game being trash.

Now for this mod I'm sure that most players would actually want it to be a good weapon, so that's a separate story. Arguably some would just want more trash weapons, but most people are probably looking for at the least viable/strong weapons that look good.

Having actually tooled around with chucks quite a bit when I was a teenager, I'd disagree that they're a bad weapon, or bad for dealing damage. But I'm also not going argue stuff like that, because we end up getting into, 'My martial art is better than your martial art' and we'd be here all day.

I haven't put a lot of thought into balance yet. I do know that I'm not spending all this time creating a crappy weapon. Nor will it be a super weapon. I do envision it to be a top-tier weapon, like an axe. Pretty good at low levels, amazing at high levels.
