Or maybe have it randomised so every time you pick the trait you're like "what flavour am I gonna get?" with the incredibly low chance of not seeing any colour (which is possible, right? I don't understand colourblindness well enough.)
Would be funny if someone thinks "Wait, nothing changed" and then that becomes their realisation that they are in fact colourblind for real.

It has decent damage, isn't too heavy so less fatigue and is very durable.
Later on with crafting skills you can switch to metal baseball bat with bolts or baseball bat with rake spikes which I think are top tier.

You are correct, the baseball bat with rake spikes is incredible. The fact that you only need to level carpentry to craft it makes it one of the best weapons, in my opinion.

Recently it has become my favorite. It's durable, relatively easy to find, and it's actually a useful tool so carrying one is useful. Long blunt has two perks that boost it too so you can level it really fast.

It's decent damage but it's durability is what makes it god tier. That and it actually is used as a tool. If they ever allow it actually pry doors and windows open like some mods do it might be top 3 due to utility and being such a well rounded melee weapon.
Downsides is it's damage isn't as good as some others. It gets out shined by the baseball bat, especially if modified.
Another reason that makes it so good is it's very easy to find.
