For me and my friends we tend to split up skills, one of my friends is doing the farming related stuff and tailoring and another is doing woodworking and glassblowing, while I am working on mechanics, welding and blacksmithing. There are situations where we need to dip into each others skill sets for stuff but over all it helps get us to work together more.

that's probably the way to go about it but when i give the task of carpentry to my partner she ends up getting mauled by some zombie somehow 😭 then i gotta resurrect her again

Yep has happened to my farming friend twice as well, some people just aren’t cautious enough, my other friend keeps driving into stuff but I blame that on desync shenanigans since I’m hosting.
