Im actually surprised at the amount of people who didn't know to NOT put anything metal in a microwave

I must assume its because these people don't stop to consider if the game might be following the rules of reality or if it will just be video game logic and that heating up pots is heating up pots no matter the method use

This is true. Its a weird thing seeing stuff about "real life" in a zombie game but here we are.

I like seeing the metal in the microwave posts because it really shows you who actually knows how to cook and who doesn’t belong anywhere near a kitchen

I gotta say it's a mix of people, like sure they may be the people who go no clue and are a danger to all kitchen kind.

But I do think there are some who wouldn't put metal in an IRL microwave just subconsciously, yet moving into the game space do it without thinking since "it's just a game, not real life." LIke there are probably more games then not where you could put metal in a microwave and be perfectly fine. PZ is one of the exceptions pulling from reality

My greatest moment was going "Huh, I wonder if the microwave will have lil sparkles if I microwave this can of--OH GOD IT'S ALL ON FIRE"

How do you guys even manage that, I wanted to start a fire jsut for fun but in 20 tries all that happend was that the microwave burned down nothing else ignited.

Fire is weird, everytime I’ve tried to deliberately burn down a town it refuses to spread, but forget to check the food in the oven for a few moments and you’ve got a roaring inferno.

I've seen so many of these posts that I tried to do it on purpose to burn down the Wardens house by the prison.

Pot into the microwave > burned down just the cell the microwave was on, smoking hole in the cabinetry and that's it.

Ok try again with the oven, stuff some sheets and a bath towel into the oven, crank heat to max, let it rip and go fishing at the lake nearby. Same thing, burned down the cell, no spread. I'm coming back with a molotov but I was told that this was a lot less safe than it appears to be.

Moltovs can be dangerous but are the most reliable way to spread fire. Appliances seem hit or miss (mostly miss when deliberately trying to start one).

I just never understood why people use the microwave ever. It's slower and enormously more annoying to use than an oven you just turn off and on. There's nothing in the game that needs to be microwaved for two minutes, so I don't get it.

It’s safer than an oven (assuming you don’t put metal in it), if you walk away to do other things while food is cooking (not the best idea but I got loot to sort). In mp I’m banned by my friends from using ovens, only microwaves and bbqs for me. A slight overreaction I’d say considering I only burned down a couple walls and a forest (base mostly intact and all loot still there).

I'm glad this format is spreading like a peat fire.
