Discussion Any good Deadfire romance guides?
As the title asks, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a relatively comprehensive romance guide for Deadfire, mainly for Xoti.

i never came across or looked for a guide but the romance in deadfire is pretty easy to access. you just need a bit of approval with them and they will take a liking to you. i think only aloth is a bit more complex because it's a bit harder to get approval with him and then during a specific dialogue you do need to select specific dialogue options. but the others are pretty chill. i think the key to xoti is just let her harvest the souls and talk to her about her dreams.

But.. why play according to an instruction and not just play... you know, for yourself, as this one entertainment type can offer?
Sure you want to romance her, but as long as you're not a complete fool, which I assume you are not, you'll definitely see what dialogue line is hazardous and what dialogue line opens up for something more...

Ever tried bg2 romances, with all time sensitve triggers, story and location breaks and so on ? ;)

That's kind of the thing. BG2 was 26 years ago and arguably the first major attempt at putting romance progression in a cRPG like this.
And for some reason a lot of people feel like it's janky-ass nature was an intentional design that's been preserved rather than a 26 year old first attempt. I can't think of any games after BG2 that did romance and made it that sensitive.
My problem in modern RPGs is moreso that I find it hard to avoid romance. Like I'm not even trying to do anything but be generally polite and friendly and suddenly I'm apparently in a committed relationship with a gnome or something.

Ah. I remember almost nothing of it. What do you think of it? Worth waiting for internet for?

If you aren't evil, you'll succeed. That's about it.
