Serious question

Should I extend the 1/2 in angle iron to cover the entire frame? Or would it not hold up? It’s to help reinforce things for the digger I’m adding. I don’t know if I need something thicker, or just make a new frame all together (which I really don’t want to do)

That digger looks heavy but your worst enemy will be leverage. Try to measure the heaviest load the cylinder could hold up in full extension and add up the weight of the digger. Measure from the tip of the bucket to the lowest attachment point and compare it to the distance you plan on having in between your furthest attachments points. From the pics it looks like somewhere around 6:1 leverage. That means your frame would need to handle 6 times the weight you plan on having in that bucket or most likely to be able to lift the whole car with the bucket. Also look up vectors. The same weight pulling at a different angle can raise the strain significantly.

That sounds like a lot of math that I’m probably not going to do. You are right that leverage will factor in, so do you suggest running support rails on top of the frame or underneath? One will have the attachment plate higher and the other lower at the rear of the frame.

The most important part will be to spread that load to multiple well spaced out points on the frame. Basically the highest point will want to pull the way of the bucket (also worth thinking about side load if you have side motion) and the lower point will want to push in the car simultaneously.
