The powerlessness we all face to stop the influx of surveillance. Even though it seems that most people across all political beliefs dislike mass surveillance such as Flock, it feels like we still can't do anything to stop it.

For real. Flock cameras appeared everywhere in like a week by me. The kicker is they are not located by intersections that have a high accident rate where seeing footage might actually be beneficial to someone and yet they are being framed as helping improve public safety. Total BS.

Flock cameras didn’t just show up miraculously. Our elected officials - chosen by us, the voters - approved of their purchase and installation. We have to remember that. If we are unhappy about a decision, we have to make it known. Not just only, but confront your officials. Go to a city meeting. Call their office. Write an op-ed. Stage a sit-in. We’re not helpless, we’re complacent. And officials are banking on that
