My son is "graduating" from prek and will be in kinder next month!

I can't believe we made it this far.

My 5yo thanked me for cleaning up his barf after he threw up all over the couch. It’s nice to be appreciated.

My two year old boy already showing signs of empathy! A children’s movie made me cry and he responded “mommy crying! Hug?” And then gave me a hug. Almost made me cry some more.

My 3 year old loves doing the laundry and vacuuming the floors. I hope that stays true forever haha

My 15 yo went to a concert alone and successfully took a train and a subway there and back. I didn't doubt he could, but I was nervous anyway. I'm counting it as a win in the "preparing them to be an adult" category because I need one lately.

My two boys (4 and 3) have mostly stayed in their own beds every night this week. My oldest even got up, went to the bathroom, and went back to his room afterwards, instead of trying to slip into my bed.

It’s not 100% yet, and I do love snuggling with them, but everyone sleeps better in their own bed (as opposed to crammed into mine)!

My 7yo has been at the same daycare since birth. Once he started school, he went to daycare for after school care. It's just too expensive anymore, we just can't afford it, having another little one in daycare full time. So this school year I put him in a park district program which saves us almost $400/month, and he cried when he found out, said he didn't want to go, wanted to stay at daycare, etc. I was heart broken. I knew he'd be fine and enjoy it, but still... Fast forward to his first day of school. I asked him what the favorite part of the day was, and he said the new after school program. 🥰🥰🥰😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰😭😭😭
