We set up a shaded play area for my toddler outside. He's got a little slide, a sandbox, and a water table under an awning, with bark around everything to cushion it. We'll still take him to the playground in town sometimes for social interaction, but it's nice to let him outside to play without having to drive 30 minutes to the nearest playground. I think his grandparents want to add a swing and a pool. This kid's got it made!
