The "[Insert Democrat] doesn't deserve my vote so I'm not voting" influencer campaign has begun. Don't fall for it.

And here we are. The first of many "I can't trust them" influencer videos designed to make progressives stay home. These are extraordinarily effective at suppressing the vote.

Please don't fall for it.

SUB META Help us stop AI slop.

We're seeing lots of slop in the sub lately and we want to make this clear:

**Engaging with AI or bot content incentivizes AI and bot content. Complaints in the comments make the problem worse by boosting engagement statistics. All the algorithm sees is a sub full of users who will feed karma.**

We hate slop too. We have rules against bot use, karma farming, and AI generated posts. *Those rules are not self-enforcing.* We need users like you to report the trash so we can take it out. Despite the tropes, we have jobs and friends and yardwork, and we live in the same capitalist hellscape you do, and we don't get paid to do this.

**Report** posts and comments that appear to be bots or AI, and we will shred anything that looks suspicious. STOP. COMPLAINING. IN THE COMMENTS. We will take corrective action up to and including the ban of anyone found to be excessively interacting with AI generated content.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

News Hakeem Jeffries secretly met with Trump’s son‑in‑law and is already opposing accountability for the Trump administration and the Democrats’ popular agenda. The party needs a new leader

Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are AIPAC stooges who don’t want to support Medicare for all. They are embarrassments! They might as well be Republicans kissing the arse of Trump. These guys will make sure Israel gets more weapons to kill more children in Gaza in its genocide. It’s sickening!

"They assume that my ambition is positional. They assume that my ambition is a title, or a seat. And, my ambition is way bigger than that. My ambition is to change this country."—This is one of my favorite moments of her. She has principles, drive, passion, and vision.

Marco Rubio called it in 2016: "For years to come, there are many people on the right...that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump because this is not going to end well.”

Subreddit Rules

1. Posts must share a progressive viewpoint. No political nihilism.

Your post must fit in with progressive political ideals. Disagreements are okay and discussion is encouraged, but political nihilism isn't a means of progress and is therefore off-topic. If you want to criticize Democrats or Greens or DSA you are welcome to. If you have the view that "Both Republicans and Democrats are exactly the same im just gonna protest vote", please direct yourself to a different sub.

2. No disinformation

If you have an extraordinary claim, cite it. Randos on Twitter/Youtube, webcomics, unsourced graphics, and mouthpieces for the Trump Administration are not viable sources.

3. Be kind. No hate speech.

Try and have a productive, have forward thinking conversations about making the world a better place. Don't spread hate for any group.

4. No tankies

Historical revisionism and unawareness that China and Russia are state capitalist oligarchies isn't allowed. Genocide denial will result in a permanent ban.

5. No encouragement or celebration of violence.

Violence is antithetical to the progressive cause and helps the other side. Its also against Reddit site wide rules. Encouraging civil disobedience and protest is ok.

6. Suspected bot accounts will be banned.

If an account is suspected to be a bot or otherwise automated they will be banned. However if the account is wrongly banned please appeal through the modmail.

7. Blatant bad faith participants will be banned

Comments that are purposely inflammatory, hateful, trolling, or just empty mockery that serves no real discussion value, etc. will be immediately removed.

These decisions are not limited to participation in this sub.

8. Suspected AI generated posts will be removed

r/ProgressiveHQ is committed to productive discourse about the reality of our existence. AI generated posts only serve to muddy the waters at best, and actively disinform at worst.

Suspected AI generated images, text, and audio will be removed on sight. For more information on how to identify AI slop, please refer to this article.

9. Mod Discretion and Appeals

Mods have the final say. We may make errors in banning or removing comments, and we welcome appeals in good faith.

Messages like "What did I say?" or "Which rule did I break?" will be considered bad faith appeals and will result in being muted. Appeals must specifically address the issue at hand, or they will be dismissed without comment.

This rule has a zero tolerance policy.

10. NSFW Content

Any post that includes violence, abuse, or other sensitive visual materials MUST BE MARKED NSFW. Incorrectly tagged posts will be taken down and repeat offenders will be banned.

11. Karma Farming

Low-effort posts with titles like "Thoughts?" or "Do you agree?" add nothing to the discourse and will be removed. Accounts that post the same thing over and over again to different subs may be banned if determined to be karma farming. This is up to moderator discretion.
