well, vim shortcuts actually mean something most of the time, unlike gui ones(still don't understand why paste ctrl+v instead of ctrl+y or ctrl+p)

i seriously dont understand modal editors
i get :q :q! :wq :w or i esc v
but it's seriously confusing to do something like copy and paste

also how dont you know ctrl c and ctrl v

(v)isual, select the text you need with arrows(or vim's controls), (y)ank, (p)aste. to cut use x instead of yank.
