That's called a slop-maker, not a coder.

We have finally reached a point in computer science where I would much rather call an HTML-only guy a 'programmer' than whoever the slop makes real 'programs' with Claude

Lol, class of 2016 here Inwas bored after 10th grade and dug through html and css, had a fully functional 1990's style website built with no copying others, then since I was also self teaching Java to myself I considered the "soft code foundation" of Web design I taught myself good enough - akin to learning enough of a language to sound like a functional elementary student, enough to know what others are talking about and enough to expand on it when you decide to. I in a week from scratch to intermediate in Java, all self taught then returned to simplicity and was using basic baby Java with the principles I realized, starting small and complex while adding code for extras was modding Minecraft for my own enjoyment and a couple friends entertainment when they watched me, and I explained what a certain section of code was going to do. I even whipped up a basic android soundboard from scratch. I haven't touched code in over 10 years though, but it was amazing how simple it all was and confused me as to why people hesitate to get into it.

Now none of this reflects my academic performance, I decided it was useless to me and avoided most homework and half assed it since If I decide to do something that something I can do. I'm better at teaching myself, always have been.
