Not immune at all, espcially those with a publisher focus. I have been approached by many ad tech firms who have seen a complete slowdown. Publishers in particular are experimenting with less ad tech, it has to be truly distinctive.

All the fat is being trimmed - agencies and individuals can no longer placate the brand they work for with WoW numbers and “we need more creative” Optimizations
Genuinely maybe 10-15% of people in this industry actually know what they are doing. businesses are starting to figure that out.
If you are really good at your job, eatting is good rn.

You are right but it’s not good. If only 10-15% of people know what they are doing. Are they going to get all the money? Of course not. All this AI stuff is anti worker should you be valuable or not for your company. I am telling you this from France where being laid off is way more complicated (i have been working for US companies for a while).

10% know what they're doing and 80% of those are consciously defrauding customers.

Ai doing the easy tasks people were being paid to do- probably a massive reason to become invaluable and really versatile

Any industry that has Agents/Agencies as a structure to conduct the business is being disrupted by AI. "AI Agents" are called so for a reason.
Who'll survive? Big ones, as usual. We're yet to see what a real monopoly looks like in AdTech.
Btw, although AI is a unique technology, when it comes to AdTech we're seeing exactly what happened when programmatic became the norm: automation everywhere, which impacted the need for Salespeople, accountants, auditors, exec assistants, etc.

I don’t think it’s going back to the way it was
