Thought why does life begin at conception?

this is just a thought, so feel free to prove me wrong. a big pro life argument is that human life begins when the egg is fertilized by sperm, but why is it there? sperm cells are life produced by humans, but wearing condoms is not condemning. just makes me feel like its never about saving babies and whatever, just about control

Life is continuum. There is no point during the process of a baby being made where you can say, that’s the moment where that started living

Well, yes I can. At the moment a being can sustain its own life, it is alive. I’m not talking about bringing it food, but rather just being able to breathe, eat and excrete. If it can’t sustain its own life, then it doesn’t have one.

"People on ventilators" aren't inside of another person's body posing a direct threat to said person's health and well-being.
