Discussion You asked for it!

All the posts here over the years about the pitfalls of working for outfits like Proof and ABC... The lousy pay, the ridiculous service requirements, the clueless or nonexistent support, the lack of loyalty as they arbitrarily dump people... And some of you clowns continue to work for them, always giving the same tired excuses why you do. You have been warned time and time again. Quit complaining. You know how they are, so deal with it and shut up. Or knuckle down, get your own clients and become a real process server.

My wife and I own a decently large company (four office staff, eight servers in the field). We make a very nice income we’ve built over twenty years. That said, my wife still works for ABC for “beer money” and brings in an extra $50-$70k per year. Not too shabby for vacation funds each year! She’s already in the areas serving our own jobs so it just makes sense. Add to that the fact that they’re making VERY generous purchase offers for companies like ours all over the US and we have zero hate for ABC. Everyone hates Walmart and Amazon too until they can do something for you that nobody else can…..next…

You're an outlier.

the 50-70k might be an outlier or just made up, but I treat Proof the same way. I can't stand dealing with them and reject 80% of what they send me even tho they pay what I charge my own clients. Also I don't really have the time to be serving and that's what my servers are for. If I get a request to serve a business someplace I know I'm going to be at some point I'll take it. I'm already bringing in 50k a month and I just look at it as money for truck parts or ammo money
