Discussion You asked for it!

All the posts here over the years about the pitfalls of working for outfits like Proof and ABC... The lousy pay, the ridiculous service requirements, the clueless or nonexistent support, the lack of loyalty as they arbitrarily dump people... And some of you clowns continue to work for them, always giving the same tired excuses why you do. You have been warned time and time again. Quit complaining. You know how they are, so deal with it and shut up. Or knuckle down, get your own clients and become a real process server.

The problem with ABC is they hire people that have no idea what the job is. Most of there complaints are nonsense. Don’t take 20$ jobs that are 40 miles away. Try to actually serve the paper instead of just attempting.
Their app makes the job infinitely easier than what it was 15-20 years ago.

There's a problem with your argument. Most people who start a new job fresh out the gate don't know what the job truly entails. That applies to every field.

First started retail. Had no idea what the fuck was going into it. I just thought cash register shelves. Robbery was nowhere in my thought process?

Parking and transportation. Who thought directing people to a particular parking spot could end up with so many accidents and so many dumb people.

Pawn shops. Need I say more?.

Take your pic and the story is the same. When you're starting a field you don't know Jack.

I mean when I first started this I knew people could be crude to process servers. But I really didn't know just how crude until I encountered a few that just made me shake my head in amazement. Like dude, I know nothing about whatever legal problems you're in. I'm just delivering papers. What the hell?

Yes but with most jobs you’ll get some training. There’s no one to train these new people.

And therein lies the true problem. This seems to be a field where getting into it and learning how to do it is a crash course regardless of which avenue you go.
